Original Mattress Factory...Good or Junk???

They are good. If you have questions go there and ask for a tour to show you how they make their mattresses. I heard on the radio they do that for customers. You may pay a bit more, but you will get what you paid for. They will also let you know about the no flip mattress. They state not a good choice so they do not sell them. I think they have a website. I think they're great. Had one that lasted me at least 15 years. They have different levels so just make sure you don't buy the lowest level. One nice thing is that it's a family started/owned company too.

We have an Original Mattress Factory set in our spare room (where my snore-fest spouse ends up--a LOT, haha) It is a GREAT set. My mom sleeps in that room when she stays here on occasion and says she never sleeps so well as when she's here.
You will find it so easy to deal with them...pick your size (twin), then pick the good, better, or best option (this dictates price). No gimmicks, no games, and our OMF set is the comfiest bed in the house!
On the other hand, when my son moved to a twin about 5 years ago, we bought a "no flip" (i.e. Horrid, cheap and O. sided but a "name" brand) mattress and it really should be replaced already. I have a foam topper AND a super plush mattress pad on it--less than 5 years old.
I think out OMF set was their middle of the line option.
So.....not junk--go and look! They're very no pressure.

I checked out consumer reports before buying from OMF. They get good ratings. So, we purchased both our kids' twin beds from there as well as our guest bed queen bed. Pretty sure we bought the cheapest or close to it. They are just fine. We then purchased the most expensive king bed that they sell for us. Within 2 weeks, there were indentations. Not kidding. So, we flipped it. Same thing. Flipped it again, as instructed, for a couple months. Same thing. It's AWFUL. I was nursing a newborn, and it was awful because the slant was so much. She also kept rolling onto me because of the slant. Of course, this made me very worried for safety reasons.
I looked at the fine print in the "lifetime warranty" that comes with all their mattresses. It says that the indentations are "normal & natural." And, they only give you a new mattress if the indentation is 1.5 inches or greater. It doesn't sound like a lot, but it is. I've measured, and ours is at about .75 inches when you're not lying down. It's hard to measure when you are lying in it, but it's definitely a lot more.
Of course, I told the sales guy that we were replacing our 10-yr-old mattress because of indentations. Never did he say anything about the "natural or normal" indentations in their mattresses. There's more of an indentation in OMF after a few weeks than our other mattress had in 10 years.
We're still sleeping on it, after over 2 years. I keep thinking I want to buy the $800 memory foam one from Costco. I've heard good things about it.
I guess my advice would be to not purchase the ultra pillow top one. I can't remember the name. But, maybe one of the middle-fluff ones would be good? My dad & his wife have that kind & love it.

I have bought several mattresses from Original Mattress Factory as my children grew into twin beds. I agree with the others who say they sell good quality products, but with no pressure to buy and with good advice on why not to buy the awful "no-flip" type of mattresses. They have beds set up in the showroom, so you can test them out. I also agree with the not buying the lowest grade product, but the sales person will be able to ask the right questions to help lead you to the best choice for your family.
