Trying to Find a Spa for a Massage

The Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon in downtown Deerfield is quite nice and not intimidating for men. A little farther than you may have wanted, but probably only a 20 minute drive on the weekend.

I love Urban Oasis on North Ave in Chicago. There are always men there when I'm there, so I'm sure your husband would feel comfortable.

I too like Mario Tricoci, however there are a couple of places close to yur neighborhood that I've found to be good and professional as well. One is Thee European Spa on Milwaukee Ave. (around 5700, near Austin) and Nuovo Nails on NW Hwy in Edison Park###-###-####). Good luck!

My sister-in-law and her friends are going to Megi's Spa in Park Ridge on Dempster on Saturday for her bachelorette party. I won't be joining them and I've never been there but the website looked neat.

I have gotten GREAT massages at Gotlieb Hospital Fitness Center. They are well priced and you can give gift certificates.

Hi! Sorry this place isn't in your preferred city list but we love it & I bought my dad & husband massages for the saturday before father's day! Swedish or Deep Tissue massage is $95 plus tip & you can pick the type of shower you would like afterwords (just as nice as the massage!! I like the rain or steam shower)

You might want to look into Mario Tricoci - they have a wonderful spa & its geared towards men & women so he won't feel like it's all about the girls. Lots of different one's to choose from & he won't be disappointed. Don't know about locations, but check them out online & I'm sure you can find one near you.

Good luck & great idea! I've given this to my hubby & he really loved it - we made a date out of it - both got massages & then off to dinner (left our little one w/ his grandma overnight) and really had a nice time.

Mario Tricoci spas are great. They have a branch at the Old Orchard Mall in Skokie. I go there all the time and they're really professional! www.mariotricoci.com

I've also used MarioTricoci at Old Orchard Mall. I've always been very pleased with them. One suggestion since you've never had one, don't be afraid to tell them if they're too hard or soft. They can always adjust their pressure. Have fun and enjoy!!!

Try Heavenly Massage on Waukegan just south of Golf. They have a website you can check out. I've gotten a gift certificate there and liked it. They also have steam showers for afterwards. (I also live in Norwood Park, so it is not far.)
