Hi all

OK all you clever people out there, my mind has drawn a blank. My dd has been invited to a Super Hero party :-) but she wants to be a superhero that has red hair!! (my girl has gorgeous red hair and I am so happy that she loves it too - before she hits the teenage years and wants to dye it black!!! :-( )Can anyone think of a female superhero with RED hair? She doesn't want to be a made up superhero and I suggested Poison Ivy but dd doesn't want to be a villain. Oh and no pink can be involved in this costume. lol She is only 8 1/2 so nothing too sexy either :-) Hopefully some of you ladies can help me out here.

Thanks again.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the ideas. She has decided to be Batgirl. The cute cartoony version not the sexy comic version. haha

Too bad the movie Brave isn't out yet. It's the newest in the Disney collection. That girl has red hair.

Otherwise I say Jean Grey or Rouge from X men.

Mystique or Jean/Pheonix...both from X-men. Those are the two that popped into my head, if I think of any others I will add on.

ETA: whether or not Mystiique is a villian is open to interpretation...and I'm pretty sure Rogue has black hair with a white stripe.

Kim Possible (Disney)

Starfire (Teen Titans) - Costume was pretty skimpy though

Barbara Gordon/Oracle (the original Batgirl)

Crystal (Marvel Comics) - current version of her costume is inappropriate but older ones could be OK

Rogue or Phoenix (X-Men)

If I had a daughter...I think I'd go with Kim Possible to avoid the skimpy tight costumes.

IN the comics and cartoons, Batgirl was a redhead.

Mystique is a villian, i would suggest Pepper Potts from iron man she's not a super hero but she keeps tony stark in line! And there's Rouge(sp) from x men and black widow...enjoy!

I went to comic-con and saw a cute Poison Ivy (to bad I didn't took a picture!), of course she was a "child version" of the character, with leaves and a leave clothes, green leggings and a leave tiara.
EDIT: Sorry, I just realize Poison Ivy is not a hero but a villain, ups!

FIRESTAR! I loved her as a kid! (She was on a cartoon with Spiderman and Iceman---the 3 of them worked together; also comics from the 80s). She had VERY red hair, red boots, yellow suit, red "thingy" over her eyes. She flies around and can shoot fire.

How old is she? Doesn't "Word Girl" have red hair?

I'll keep thinking.
