Moms,

What are you putting in your kids stockings this year? I still have to go get some more things - but so far, I have dreidels (we are not Jewish, but I want the kids to be exposed to various traditions), some coloring stuff, gold coin chocolates.

What are you going to do :)

Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thanks for the wonderful ideas. I was at the dollar store and scored there. I bought some magic kits, calculators, light up yo yos, toothbrushes, dry erase markers, crayon rings (just crayons in a ring shape - my daughter will love that), stickers - And so I am done! Thank you moms for the other wonderful ideas.

Chocolates
Toys from McDonald's
Gift cards
New toothbrush

You seem fine.
And it depends, on how "stuffed" you want the stockings to be?
LOL
then got more or less, according to that.

I love going to Michaels and heading straight to their $1 section. They have little calendars, note pads, stamps, stickers, soaps, etc. I always give my family toothbrushes (you are supposed to change toothbrushes every three months and we do it with the change of seasons), sample sizes of lotions, lip balm, body washes, hand sanitizers, favorite candies. One way to make it simple is to keep your eyes out for these throughout the year and keep a stash hidden, lol.

We always got the lifesavers storybooks. I loved those. Hershey kisses. That's what I remember. My cousins' stocking were always stuffed with only candy. Can't imagine doing that with my kids...

What you have sounds fine. I don't know the ages of your children, but I have given mine post it notes, scotch tape, deck of cards, gum(they love having their own gum), chap stick, small dolls or toy cars, and when they got older, socks, makeup or sample sizes of skincare, etc. Have fun!

The Target $1 section has some great stocking stuffers too. I'll probably get the little boy stickers, candy, mini-books and little cute toys.

My 5 year old loves hot wheels...so his stocking will have some of those for sure and he even asked for a Spin Brush (toothbrush) - so that is definitely a stocking stuffer. Good luck with your stocking stuffing!

I am doing fun socks this year and I usually do some type of lip gloss, nail polish or hair accessory. I don't have any boys.

Besides candy, we're doing:

a wind-up toy for each of them (z-windups.com),
a regular size yo-yo,
marbles (they're both really into them right now)

That's all I've thought of so far :-).
