Spin off Cheryls Meeting Moms Post

What if we moved the location every year so that we could all (the ones that want to) attend eventually? Reading the responses there are several that would not be able to go for health of family reasons which is understandable esspecially with this kind of site. So what do you say setting one up annually but moving it every year so that we can see all or see other places as well? Its like exploring the states while on a mission!

Im really thinking this is a good idea...

My vote for the first one though is still with the moderators. It would be nice to know who is behind the site!

Ok so lets pull the ceo, moderators, and others so that we can know them. I Marc ( I think CEO) has been on here. But then we have moderators which I think are all female. I have not heard of Artie and I have been on for over a year.

First we would have to do locals though. I do agree with that. And if we set it up how could they profit from our idea. If we set it up it is just a gathering not thier convention. (sorry if there are typos, my screen keeps wanting to auto pull away from where I am typing so this is really hard!)

So What Happened?

Probably no kids... That would just make it a mess. We could make it like a Mom vacation kinda thing.

"It would be nice to know who is behind the site!" Men are behind this site. That has been disclosed before on here. This site is all about making a few bucks.

Can't agree more with Jim. If you can convince Artie Wu that he'll make a profit out of organising a Mamapedia conference, then away we go!

hmmm mamapedia convention that they would pay for and then they could have vendors in a major city which would pay for dinner and drinks and prized..sounds nice in a big city.

then all of the moms with blogs here could blog about it and get free transportation and hotel

ARTIE I VOLUNEER To organize for free airfare and hotel stay=)

I have been in contact with them. We'll see what they say.

There has been talk about moving it to different locations and making it a yearly "thing".

Would you put the address for Cheryl's post so that those of us who missed it can know what's going on?

Thanks, Jo.

The idea is exciting. I'm in favor. I suggest it would be easiest, but yet not easy lol, to have more local ones. Say have a central meeting place with a boundary of a couple of hundred miles. I know of several moms in OR and WA.

I'm going to Seattle soon, with friends, but I would be willing to do a car pool to Seattle with other moms in my area, Portland. Perhaps someone in Seattle area could scope out a reasonably priced place to stay and meet? Or we could meet in Portland if there is someone who would be willing to plan. It could just be a one day meet. Meet for lunch in a banquet room.
