Have You Physically Met Anyone from This Site?

Nope, haven't met or talked to anyone...
There are a good few I would Love to take out for a cocktail and just chat the night away :-) GIRLS NIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't but I would love to meet any of the mommas on here. It feels like we spend most days together anyways, it would be great to put a face to the name. Then I wouldn't have to always be saying "This online mom's group I'm in says..." I know my hubsband laughs all the time bc I quote you guys more than the women physically in my life! :) LOVE it here.

I love meeting new people so I would. I have met some folks from the site in person and some I have just talked to on the phone. It's fun. I think some of the moms on this site are a riot. I would love to meet them.

I Haven't met anyone, but I feel like I have. I enjoy very much the ladies I have as FB friends from Mamapedia.

You know, we poke fun at my, um, somewhat anti-social boys.....why would they have friends physically OVER TO THE house, when in fact, they are CONSTANTLY in contact with their friends electronically. I guess I'm doin' the same kinda thing, huh?

So while I haven't actually met any of you, I feel like I spend everyday with you, it's a nice thing.

I have not, but there are really not any in my area. I love to meet new people, so it has crossed my mind. Wouldn't it be great if Mamapedia hosted some sort of convention? We'd have to wear name tags with our username. That'd be sort of funny!

I havent met any in person either, but I feel like I'm part of something special in the mornings with my tea or coffee and flowers appear from the regular morning group. It's always refreshing. Maybe some day we'll book a cruise and everyone will wear their name tag :)

Like others have said, I feel like I know some of you so well. My husband laughs at me when when I'm talking something over with him and I say "I know...I'll ask the moms!" or "My mom's website says...." It's great for me, especially because I'm not the most socially graceful person in the world.

I have not, minus the few people who suggested this site to me. Funny thing is I do not think they really use this site even though it would be helpful to them, I should suggest it back to them.

If any are in my area I am always up for coffee, lunch, playdate! My daughter is way more socail then I and loves meeting new people, I take awhile to warm up but once I do I can talk for hours!

Added: I really like the idea of having a mamapedia conferance for each state! That would be a great way for all mom's to meet PLUS they could bring their other mom friends along and the site could grow (HINT, HINT mamapeida)

Several years ago, there was a meetup and about 10 ladies met at a chuck e cheese.

I have met 3 people from this site. 2 of them have been using my daycare services. One of them saw someone from this site say something derrogatory about me. So she called and pretended to need care and set an appointment to meet with me. Then she admitted during the "interview" that she was just curious about me and wanted to know if I was as bad as the person said. Sadly, I don't know the person that was bad mouthing me and I had to demand that my daycare profile be taken off this site because of it.

So... yes I would meet someone from the site. My 2 daycare moms that I work with have been wonderful. The 3rd lady was at least nice enough to admit what she was up to. But the other person, whoever they are that has bad mouthed me...Whatever....be careful when meeting someone you don't know no matter where you meet them from.

I haven't but I have talked to several of them on the phone and one of the women is now one of my business partners/downline in Arbonne and a few others are now clients! I would love to meet them all one day.

I've never really even paid attention to where people were from on here, now i'll be paying better attention. All of you ladies are great and i'm becoming such a huge mamapedia addict! Getting cocktails with some of you would be such a riot :)

I have met a few when it was Mamasource. I found a babysitter on here once too and she was an awesome lady. We stayed in touch for a couple of years even after she moved 2 hours away. I occasionaly try to search her old screen name on here but since it is mamapedia now I haven't heard from her.

I knew some people who joined but that doesn't count - and it was years ago anyway! I found out about a local moms group from this site - 5 years ago......I think that maybe doesn't count as I really didn't get to know these women on the site - so to answer your other question - would love to meet any of you! I believe I've read a few people live in my area and a few live in my parents (my real hometown) area-Springfield, IL.

I have actually made friends with 2 women I became acquainted with here but have met neither. One has a child with some of the same issues as ours with Sensory Integration disorder, and another is a member of the same church I am and she cooks for activities with large groups also.

I thought about it for a while and then invited them to friend me on FB. I have enjoyed them much in playing games and visiting, hearing about their adventures through motherhood and all kinds of things. I don't know if I would go out of my way to meet someone here, I am too paranoid about people pretending to be something they are not. We truly don't know who we are conversing with.

I worry that I might be taken in by some Pedophile pretending to be a mom needing something that was really just trying to find a rich opportunity to fulfill their fantasies.

Yes! I have met two. One is my good friend, and we have been friends for 4 years now!!
