Dear T.,
I am so sorry to hear about what has been happening. My husband and I had trouble getting pregnant and finally went to a doctor who I highly recommend. His name is Dr. James Kustin and he is with the Washington Center for Reproductive Medicine in Bellevue. He is an absolute miracle worker and a genius! It doesn't sound like you are having fertility problems since you are getting pregnant but I think he would definitely be able to ascertain what is wrong and be able to help you. Feel free to contact me via this website and also go to Dr. Kustin's website at www.seattleivf.com. Good Luck and feel free to contact me anytime. By the way, with the help of Dr. Kustin, we now have a 2 year old daughter from our first try with his help!!

I, too, am saddened by your story, but you must be a very strong woman. I think you definitely need to see a doctor as what you are describing isn't normal. A full physical and exam by your internist or an ob/gyn. After that, if you choose to go to a holistic doc., great, but you need a good ob, first. Overlake Ob. has a number of good docs.
Good luck to you,
L.

I'm assuming that you don't have a regular family doctor or gynecologist. Either would work, and if you haven't been having annual pap smears and physicals, you really need to for your general health.

I never had a regular OB/GYN until we had problems getting pregnant. Now that our daughter is a toddler and we're not having more children, I switched back to a family doctor so I could cover everything with one annual physical (including blood work and STD & HIV tests). We need to take care of ourselves so we can take care of those we love.

You don't mention whether or not you have insurance. If you do, check with them to see what clinics/doctors are within your plan. If not, there are clinics that you can get free pap smears/examines and tests (I know there is one at Harborview).

I would see a Dr., especially if you had no problems with your cycle before the beatings and miscarriage.

You say you have had multiple miscarriages, did you ever see your ob-gyn/family physician when these occurred? You need to get a full physical, preferably with an ob-gyn, who will check you out from stem to stern. In order to care for your goddaughter you need to be healthy. Do it for her, if not for yourself.
