I have my first born due at the end of August, and I'm trying to brainstorm some creative birth announcement ideas. Have you see any great ideas?

I needed to find something that was a little different b/c I was having b/g twins and this was before the influx of twin stuff becoming available in the last year or so...I went to the website www.tinyprints.com and found some great, unique announcements. Congrats!

I can send you a copy of my proof from my son's birth announcement via e-mail. Let me know your e-mail address and I will forward it on! Bellybeandesigns.com - They did a GREAT job and worked really fast and I thought they were very cost effective!

I ordered mine from NotedStyle. It is a mom owned business. If you email me I can send you the brochure via email. There are several really cute designs including mine on there!

At the time I had my first baby (31 years ago) I was working for a manufacturer's rep. We had a stamp made showing one line for item ordered, ordered by, order date, shipped date, weight of shipment, etc.

I went to the office supply place and bought a sales type pad. I stamped the stamp on the pad. I backed up by 9 months and put the ordered date and by whom (us), item ordered was baby's name, shipped by (the OB doctor) and weight and lenth, etc in that blanks. When the next two babies came I used the same stamp and pad. Everyone thought it was a novel way. You might create something along those lines for your baby.

Congratulations!
P.S. I co-own a diaper service (the type that picks up dirty diapers and brings you clean ones). If someone would like to purchase a time period of the service you can have them call ###-###-####. Details can be found on www.earthbabydiaperservice.com. We're new and am trying to spread the word out there to all new moms.

Hi M.,
I ordered mine from magnetstreetbaby.com, and absolutetly loved them! They print the birth announcements on magnets, have several different templates to choose from, and will send you a proof via email before printing them.
Good luck,
A.

I used a lady I found online, her website is grinvilla.com I was VERY pleased with the announcements. I got 100, plus envelopes and it was 100 dollars. That was in November. She did great work, repsonded quickly to my emails and I received the order within a few days. Hope that helps.....

I just started a business that does all types of stationery including birth announcements. The best part is we can do magnets, postcards, or even a digital design that you can take anywhere and print yourself to keep cost low. I am still adding to my website, and am excited to get to design my very own borth announcement for our daughter Londyn here soon. Check it out: www.whimsique.com

My friend received one that was a naked photo of the baby laying on his tummy...B&W and it was about 21" long , and the caption read "Baby's Name, Date, Weight, Height" and then at the bottom of the photo it said "Actual Size". VERY CUTE I'm not sure where it was made, but you could always take your own pic and then go to kinkos and have it blown up.

Or someone crafty could make homemade ones for you! I'm crafty! ;)

This is what I did and I am the least crafty person in the world...I went to Michael's and bought a package of iron on transfers for clothing. Then I typed up the birth announcement info on my computer and printed it out on the iron on. I ironed it to one of my babies onesis and took a picture of him wearing his announcement! We sent the picture/announcement as a postcard to our friends and family! It was great because everyone got the birth info and a picture, plus sending a postcard is cheaper than regular postage!
Hope this helps give you an alternative idea!
