I was in Property Management for 10 yrs and we used Fresh Horizons for ALL our events because they are so professional and the food is wonderful! I just recently used them for a church group and they still lived up to their reputation. The staff was very attentive and the presentation was awesome! Good luck!

I used to work for a large, local homebuilder and we used Black Tie for many of our events. They did a great job, the food was fabulous and they are very professional. I would highly recommend them.

My friend, Kelly Holtzinger's husband, works for them. They're just really on the ball, professional, and their food is great.

Have a great party.

I am assuming that you are having this at your home since you are looking for a caterer. Have you thought of having it at a nice restaurant vs. at home. Hotels or restaurants have nice rooms to hold your event and most can be reasonably priced. They would do all the set up and clean up and you don't have to worry about a thing. I have done both and always prefer to not have to worry about messing up my home and having a lot of clean up afterwards. If not there are many good caterers in San Antonio. Of course one of the most famous is Strange's and they can be somewhat reasonable and are very very good. One person mentioned Black Tie and they also are very good. I also did a party once where we bought most of the stuff from Sam's ( just finger foods ) also bought some tamales from Delicious Tamales and I hired some folks to prepare it and put it out on to the tables, one also served as a bartender etc. and that worked very well and boy did I save a lot of money. I paid them by the hour and they wore nice black slacks with white shirts and black ties and looked very professional. Ask around, I am sure someone might know someone who would do that, mine turned out to be some friends of my daughters who needed the money and I was so impressed at how well they did. I hired a piano player and a violinist who played music throughout and it was so very nice. It was Christmas time and we all gathered around and sang. There are so many things you can do and do on a budget and make it nice.
I went to an anniversary party for a friends parents and there was a cake that was made at HEB believe it or not and on top of the cake on the left side was a photo of them when they were young and on the right side was a current photo of them and it was so nice to see what they looked like. They can also do a wedding photo as well. They also had a framed poster type board with all kinds of photos of each of them throughout their lives. On the table was a rolled parchment paper tied with ribbon and when you opened it it listed special events that had happened for the couple throughout their marriage. When they met, how they met, when they married, when their children were born etc. It also listed funny sayings each would say that their children remembered. It was so fun to read and just made is so personal and close to read about what all happened in their lives. There were even a few sad things included but you just got to know them better by reading that. Just thought I would mention it.
Good luck and congratulations on your parents 50th anniversary.

My friend is using San Francisco Steak House for her wedding. The resturant itself doesn't wow, but I have to say the staff and the food were incredible. They did forget our tasting date, but quickly recovered and served us an amazing tasting menu. She didn't even look any further.
