Hi Moms,
I had a quick question to an unresolved complaint with Skylight Wireless off 121. My husband purchased a phone thru them and long story short, it was a defective phone- it's a NOKIA phone that is compatible with his Mac computer. Purchased back on Dec 14th 06, and problems began by mid week Feb07. They sent off the phone to a "repair" center and had it there for 6 wks - nothing solved - sent off to another repair center - and they say they ordered the part, but nothing has been done. They have had the phone for 12 weeks now - my husband was given 2 different loaner that have been faulty. I have filed a complain with BBB last month and since Skylight has told them that they ordered a new part and should be ready for pick up May 1 07, BBB has since then closed the account since Skylight lied and told them the phone is ready. Skylight does not have the phone - we spoke to them today 5/2/07 and basically told us that we should be lucky they are not charging us for repair and we'll get the phone when we get it. They won't give us their superior's name . I know that these Skylight locations are in association with T Mobile, but they too can't help us. They are also a franchise, to my understanding. I have reopened the case with BBB, but wanted to know if anyone has any idea where I can go with this...is there a bureau stronger than BBB? Should I get an attorney? Any thoughts would be highly appreciated...My husband is not at any one location for his business, so a dependable phone is very important since I'm 35 wks pregnant and the loaner they gave him sends messages to vm without ringing, etc.
Thanks!

Well, I would honestly say that if you just hired an attorney to write you a good letter that THREATENS litigation, most companies will go out of their way to avoid prosecution... it's an idea I'd strongly entertain.

Elaine,

If the store is in Denton County, go to www.dentoncad.com and look up by address to find out who the owner is of that store. If this is a T-Mobile franchise, via writing, email and phone contact T-Mobile to lodge a complaint as well as find out who the regional director over franchise services is over that store. Also, you may want to contact the Business and Economic Development offices in Austin for Texas State. I hope this helps. If you have difficulty locating the ownership of the store, please email me directly with the address of the store and I would be more than happy to do some research for you. If I were 35 weeks pregnant, this would be the last challenge I would want to be facing. Good luck, C. (____@____.com)

Hi, One way to get their attention is to stop paying for the service. You aren't getting any service, so why pay. Next if you pay with your credit card, call them and let them know what you have been going through and that you want to dipute any charges that appear from them on your bill. They may ask you for some documentation of the situation. You can write a letter explaning it all so they can have it on file. Keep making noise! I hope things work out. Good luck, Nana
