We had Comcast and it was awful. Since we switched to AT&T Uverse/internet/cell phones, we haven't had a problem. We love it! They also have really good rates when you get all the services.

We have AT&T UVerse for home phone, internet and TV. LOVE IT! We got this in October and have been really pleased with it. Prior to this I did have AT&T home phone and internet service and had no issues then either. I like the fact that when I call AT&T (for whatever reason) I don't sit on hold for 20 + minutes like I used to with Comcast.

We have internet, wireless, landline and were looking into getting U-Verse through AT&T. But in all honesty, i'd look elsewhere.

The internet service is fine. It's about the only service from AT&T that I don't really have a problem with. Our cellular phones hardly ever work. Now, miraculously enough. We have bad reception here in the US and it's hard to get a signal. But we used our cellphones in Canada just fine. Go figure! The biggest problem I have with AT&T is their customer service. They act as if they could care less about getting problems resolved. And if I pay for a service, I want to be able to use that service. Over the years it's gotten worse and worse. I won't even tell you what we went through trying to get the U-Verse installed!! And you would think because it's a new service that will make money for the company, they would have been good about getting it installed. Nope! Again, they didn't seem to care. Now I find myself trying to find a different carrier for each service.

Good luck with whatever you choose!

We have AT & T everything - U-Verse TV and internet. iPhone/cell phone service and AT & T land-line. We decided against the U-Verse phone service because we prefer a land-line as back-up and for faxing. We had DirecTV before and like U-Verse so much better. Also, my husband has Sprint/Nextel cell service on a work phone and the my AT & T service is much better.

I have ATT for almost everything. The only thing not att is TV. We can't get Uverse. I get much better call quality than I did on Verizon. We bundle our phone, cell, internet to save money. They also have a deal if you have Satelite you can get a discount on that if you are an ATT customer. We don't use a house phone but pay for one line since it is cheaper if we bundle it. Since we had it I set it up as a fax for my business. I agree the customer service is the worst. But what I do is go to an ATT cellular store. Since they are ATT they can help you. I always apologise right away and tell them I need help with something not cellular and they say no problem. Not as convenient as calling a number but my problem gets solved everytime and usually with some type of credit.

I have come to the opinion that no matter how much you think you are saving you are not unless you have absolutely no phone. We got excited and used AT and t their cable, internet, phone etc. They forget to mention huge installation fees and that the package that you thought you were getting is really not the one you get and they explain that to you afterwards very carefully. So we put in all comcast thinking we were getting such a deal and we find that that package is also not the 99 dollar a month one, but the one that is really $143.00 a month plus the installation fees that we were assured were non existent because we had had Comcast sometime sooner and found out that they couldnt use our existing set up or something so they did different things so the fees were about another one hundred dollars. The phone service doesnt cover much so we use T Mobil and pay on top of our $143.00 a month service (phone is supposed to be $19.99 but that is if you do not really use the phone or only call your neighbor-it is more like $59) and at the same time the internet went up. So we pay $143.00 to Tmobil also and altogether we pay about $285.00 aprox. in communication services and there are still days when the cable goes out, the internet goes off and we can't get ahold of anyone and the phone is dead. So...I myself am quite content writing letters and reading books but I live with people who seem to think their very existence would go away if we got rid of any of these things, so we pay a lot of money. And to think we started with one cel phone just so I would feel safe when I drive. Oh and I think I did not answer your question. They all work pretty much the same. And I agree with the other poster, the customer service people at AT AND T were terrible oftentimes to the point of rude. That is why we dropped it.

We just switched from Direct TV to AT&T U-Verse. We had an issue with the installation, but after straightening that out and At&T offering us a nice amount off our bill, we have been pleased. I actually have called their customer service a few times, and the supervisor called me back to make sure I was satisfied. We have the Cable, Internet, home phone, but still have our cell phones with Verizon. We are debating the switch to At&T, and after reading these posts I may still with Verizon for cells.

We had comcast then switched to AT&T which was even worse than comcast. I didnt think that was possible, but it is. We switched back to comcast now. I would NOT reccommend AT&T ever. They screwed up our bill and after hours and hours of calls and explaining the same thing over and over, they never fixed it. They really suck as far as customer service goes.

Unless it's Uverse, don't bother. Their DSL service is awful. I don't know what their wireless service is like in Chicago. It was so awful in NY we switched carriers years ago.

Have had Ameritech home phone service for 20+ years, no problems that weren't immediately and successfully fixed. Ameritech became AT&T and was the first to offer DSL Internet; signed up for that and always experienced great Internet connections. Had one problem once and they came out immediately and replaced the modem - I did have that "free warranty" that I paid for in my phone bill. In the meantime the TVs had been connected to Comcast for many years since that had been the only original option for TV. Comcast TV service was getting way too expensive, and whenever there was an issue, their customer service and hold time on the phone was terrible. Watched for AT&T U-Verse to come into my area and arranged to bundle everything (but unfortunately the cell phones are tied up in a T-Mobile contract). The initial U-Verse installation took an entire day by a very conscientious technician. Within a few weeks we had some connection issues, and several techs who came out within a few days of each other were able to make things work for 24-48 hours, but then the issues returned. We FINALLY, after many demanding phone calls, were serviced by an EXCELLENT TECH (on a Saturday night) and since he made the necessary adjustments months ago, we have not had one problem. When it works, it is terrific and reliable. I think the quality of your service calls depends on the qualifications of the TECH who comes to your house. They are not all equal. My AT&T bundle costs less than the Comcast that we got rid of. My desktop and 4 wireless laptops always have a great connection anywhere in my home {with several levels}, so no matter how far away we are from the modem, the connection is excellent! Good Luck!

I have AT&T internet and T-mobile cell phone.
Although I am ok with the internet service as it has been working properly so far. I am upset with them charging me more since I use Vonage for my home phone and not them.
I have T-mobile for almsot 10 years and I am very pleased with their customer service. Friendly knowledgable people there.
If I hear AT&T my blood pressure goes up. Most horrible customer service I can think off. If something goes wrong with your bill, your line, whatever you are screwed. Their customer service does not know what they are doing and you waste a LOT of time with them trying to fix a problem over and over again.
If I find a better price on internet I will switch for sure.
Due to their customer service issues, AT&T is my most disliked company!

I don't have ATT wireless, Y., but have had ATT internet and home phone for some years. No problems. Wireless has a lot of roll over minutes; my friend has it and it seems OK. Not sure about prices, but you can bundle the three services together to save. Good luck.

wireless...not too crazy about. used to have them, now we have verizon and love it! more expensive but i always have service.

internet/cable - we have internet & u-verse and love it. we did have some issues in beginning because it was new but dont anymore. the customer service isnt always the best. but lately have not had issues. love the cable services though. dvr they provide is great. you can tape up to 4 shows at a time and can watch them in any room, regardless of which tv you recorded on. they did recently raise their rates, so wasnt too happy about that but it wasnt by much and they do have great services, so..... guess it depends on whats important to you. but i do agree about the wireless.

Terrible, terrible, terrible - don't do it! We had it for YEARS, went to Verizon (LOVED them). Switched back due to such a great plan (from my husband's work) and hate it, hate it, hate it...

Can't make a call, messages appear days later - BAD!

People told me "ok" - well, it is all relative I suppose. I had Verizon and they didn't have these issues.

Hi Y.. I highly recommend AT&T wireless service and they have some great package deals. I have had their home service for 20+ years and their wireless since it started. Unfortunately, I do not have their internet service but I know people who have it and they are happy with that service also. Good luck with your decision.

We have At&t cable TV, internet and wireless. The phone bill kills me because they always find someway to overcharge us. They promise me they're "credit" the next month but they never do. I call back to get it corrected again and by this time they now us 2 credits. It goes on and on. Every single month I battle with them. It's extremely frustrating.

But we do love their internet service. However we now have it through the UVerse cable service. When we had DSL, we did not like it. We were always losing our connection and the computer was freezing when we were on the internet. Only get the internet unless you decide to also get UVerse cable.

We do not have cellular but we do have the phone, internet, TV bundle. We have 3 computers in my home. I have not experienced any problems (my computer has the modem attached) but my husband and the kids complain that the wireless signal cuts in and out.

It's odd that you are asking. I had AT&T for our wireless (have since switched over to T-Mobile and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE T-MOBILE) You can call them for anything and they will bend over backwards for you. We even went over your minutes, and they gave us bonus minutes and took away the extra charge for going over.

Before switching over to T-Mobile, we had DISH for our TV, but AT&T for our land line, cell phones and internet and they refused to give us a deal (the did bundle the home and internet, but not that great of a deal at all).

We've now switched subscribe to Netflix (we can stream videos in for free). Well, every time we downloaded a movie to watch, it would go 20 minutes, and then stop and buff for another 15 minutes. It did it constantly. I called Netflix and was told we needed at least 700 to run the movie. I told her we were set up to get 1.5 (more than double what they required). She took a look at the history and said at times we weren't even getting 700 and we were fluctuating all over. She suggested we call AT&T and see if they can run a test to see why we fluctuate so much. AT&T said we weren't (even tho they truly didn't run a test for a certain period of time). I then found out that AT&T borrows cable from other internet providers and if Naperville is using more internet, my area will not get a good enough signal. I asked if we can upgrade to 3.0 and it's not an option for us (according to AT&T) I called Comcast and they are twice as expensive, but have their own cables AND we will be running 12 times faster than what AT&T can provide to us.

We are also disconnecting our landline (why pay $25.00 bare bones) when we hardly ever use it? So, that $25.00 will go to offset the cost of Comcast.

So, I'd personally stay away from AT&T, their customer service skills blows too.
