So here's my question. I work with a child who has special needs in a third grade classroom. To help get all the kids motivated to do well I offered each and every kid a chance to earn a free ticket to the amusement park of their choice providing they get all 4's on their report card. So we are now at the end of semester and I am looking to purchase some tickets for the best price I can find.......any suggestions??

What can I do next?

Call Legoland, explain the situation as ask if they have any comp tickets available if you were to request on your school letterhead. You might be too late on the timing for this year but at least you will find out for future years. If that doesn't work, ask them to steer you to discounts that might be available. Tickets with a local soft drink can or special rates for children. You could also google Legoland discounts or coupons and probably come up with a list. I think Costco had Legoland tickets at a discounted rate last year. Good luck with your search.

If you work in education and are a member of a union, check to see what's offered. I work for a County Office of Education as a classified staff member. Our union (CalPERS) offers some great deals.

If you go as a group, you might be able to get special discounted group tickets. We went recently with my son's preschool for $10 per child and $16 per adult. Definitely give them a call and see if they can give you a similar deal.

Have fun!
