Hello! We got reduced tickets to Disney Land through AAA, but it only took off $10 per ticket. On the other hand, parking was paid that way, too, and that adds up as well. They do offer Sea World and San Diego Zoo discount tickets. I also agree that Sea World was awesome, the kids and I did not have enough of it after 2 days. Lego-land not so much, but maybe we were "parked out". There were aspects of it that were fun for our then 5 yr old, but the then 2 yr old basically could only get her face painted.....

I'm just going to put my two cents worth in on Legoland. My husband likes to call it Lame-O-Land. Like someone else already said your kids need to be atleast 36" tall. They are very strict with height. We've been twice and it is not worth the money. The hours they are opened are usually not long enough to get thru to everything. You may want to reconsider. Sea World is fun. We are actually headed there on Friday. As far as discounts you can try Costco etc. I don't believe any of the local restaurants/stores here have coupons right now. You can always wait until you get here then check places like Ralph's and Albertson's grocery stores for coupons. Usually they are buy and adult get a child for free. Feel free to message me if you have more questions. Good luck.

I agree with the State's tourism websites as well as your local Costco or Sam's club...heck even my grocery store has discounted Disneyland tickets and such!

Check Groupons, Living Social and change your city to the new area. Otherwise, go to the local Costco or Sam's club. They will have dining as well as amusement parks. If you know a student or someone who works at a school, the state University system offers very good discounts for their staff/faculty/students. Look up a local university and then look at what's usually called the Box Office.

By the way, unless your kids are above 36" (48" is better) I'd forgo Legoland unless you just want to go because it's the only one and you like just looking at cool Lego statues. Otherwise, I found it not worth the cost. Sea World is fun though. If you are looking for rides with small children I'd go to Knotts Berry Farm. It's smaller but you kids will enjoy Snoopy alot more and the rides are fun though not as dangerous as Magic Mountain. Plus, you don't get to go to Knotts anywhere else in the country. It's has a historical aspect to it as well if you want to teach kids about California and US history. A big plus is that it's much cheaper to go.

Another cheap thing to do which gets overlooked is seeing a video taping. Tickets are free, you just have to stand in line a few hours before the show to be sure to get in. There are various tv tapings so you can search "tv taping (name of show)" and you'll be linked to who handles tickets. Also hit the Getty Museum in Los Angeles and Griffith's Observatory (You'll see the HOLLYWOOD sign) but it's a cool observatory in and of itself.

Feel free to message me and I'll see if for the time you come out here there are any tips or coupons I run into.

Costco usually has discounted tickets to those places. AAA does too, but I'm not sure if you have to be an in-state member to take advantage of the benefit. It's definitely worth giving them a call.

Sometimes restaurants (KFC is the one I can think of) will have a buy an adult, get a kid free ticket to Legoland. Maybe you can google and see if anyone's doing that promo right now. Legoland is really expensive, so that is definitely a better deal than just getting $5-10 off per ticket.

We love love love legoland! If your child is under 36 inches you can ride the rides with them, no problem. We have went there every year since my daughter was 3! If If you are staying at a hotel they may have discounted tickets, call them, definitely will if they have a concierge. If you know someone down there , there should be discounted tickets at grocery stores. And check your work. My work has a ticket program and right now has 20% off legoland. If not your work, ask your friends and family if their work has it.
