Iphone vs Android (Galaxy)

D.G. asks from Mansfield, TX

I looked back but didn't see much on this very recently so I am going to ask ! My phone (Evo 4G LTE) is about done for. I guess I dropped it too many times ! My hubby said for me to get a new phone and that would be my Christmas gift. Which works great for me. I am trying to decide between the Iphone 5 (or 5s) and the Galaxy III or IV. I have always had an Android but I am not opposed to the Iphone. What do you have, do you like it, any issues, etc ? I am also trying to decide to stay with Virgin or go to T Mobile's no contract. Thanks for any input !

What can I do next?

I guess it's what you're used to. We've had iPhones since they came out. My wife contemplated switching to a galaxy, not long ago actually.
She never did, due to the fact that everything we have is apple related.
I've heard really good things about the galaxy though.
Apple products are bullet proof and work exceptionally well.
Good luck.

I say go for the galaxy s4 it's a great phone and you'll be able to transfer all your Google stuff since it's still android with getting an iPhone you would lose all things bought from android.

I have a Galaxy III, I love it and the screen is huge. It is really hard to use someone's iphone because Im so use to the larger screen. I also have a kindle and I have the kindle app, and kindle also allows gmail (I dont think they use to but they do now). Every now and then you get updates with great new features, so that is a plus. Also, you can use any charger you want (basically), I use my kindle charger and Ive also used my mom's phone charger, and husbands microsoft charger. Iphones have their own type of charger. I would type more but my computer is being "sticky" and won't let me see everything Im writing until 30 seconds later

The new OS in the newer iPhones are great. Really great.
ie: the operating system.

My Hubby has the iPhone.
The Galaxy has a bigger screen. It is bigger.
Which means, if you stick it in your pocket, will you like the size of it and will it fit etc.?

They are both good, but if you have, Apple or MAC products already, then it makes sense to get an iPhone. Because, you can sync it all together and it will thus work with what you have already. If you have Mac's or Apple products already.

I know people who have the Galaxy or some who have the iPhone.
But no matter what you get, you should get a good phone case, for it.

My friends who have had iPhones since the beginning are going to moved to the Galaxy 4. My husband got his this past year and loves it. My friends got a preview and loved many of it's innovations and features that are not included (built into) the iPhone 5.

I've always had an android phone (Motorola Razr). I love - loved mine until I saw my Husband's Galaxy.

I have an iPhone, I love it.
My daughter has a Galaxy III, she loves it.

So, two good choices, seems like you can't go wrong. But I'll bet the Galaxy would better survive being dropped. My daughter drops her phone all the time and it still works.

I would NEVER give up my Android for an IPhone. I love how I can freely and fully customize my droid. I love having my Google Calendar and contacts synced with my phone. I think I'm on my 4th Android phone. I have dropped them all numerous times on all sorts of surfaces and have never cracked the screens or broken the phones. I would also never want to pay the expensive monthly payments with an Iphone.

We've never used anything but IPhones since they first came out.

We have the 5 ( all 3 of us) and love them. We would jot be willing to make a change.
