In Search of Age Appropriate Dresses

My sister and I have been searching for sevearl days for dresses for your daughters. Our grandmother recently passed and the services are Saturday and the great-grandchildren are wearing pink dresses. The problem is that the stores don't have anything that is age appropriate for our 8 and 6 year old daughters. We are looking for dresses that are age appropriate as well as appropriate for the occasion. It's driving us both crazy that we can't find anything for our oldest girls, but we are finding cute things for our youngest daughters, who aren't attending the funeral. If anyone knows where we could find age appropriate dresses, at this point any where in the Houston area. THX

JC Penneys usually always has a nice selection of church dresses so I would recommend giving them a try. That is where I have shopped for my daughter who is now 11 for church and dresses for weddings and have been very pleased.

Have you tried The Children's Place? I just went in there yesterday and found a bunch of awesome pjs for my little baby boy and I saw a lot of cute things. You can check their web site, I just did and I saw some cute dresses that might be appropriate. They aren't the cheapest but they aren't over the top either. It looks like they have them all over Houston. I went to one that is right between Bear Creek and Copperfield so if you live close to that area, I can tell you exactly where it is. Best wishes and I am so sorry for your loss.

My girlfriends who have girls (I only have boys) suggest you could try going to JCPenny's, Kohl's, or the Children's Place.
They have very age appropriate attire and inexpensive as well. Hope this helps.

Have you tried Burlington Coat Factory? I'm not sure how old the older daughters are, so I can't tell you for sure. I just remember some really cute dresses for girls at BCF. At one point, I saw some dresses for girls, from as young as 6 months to as old as 9 or 10 years old, that matched. There was a really cute dress, like this, that had white on the top, and black velvet on the bottom. That seems very funeral-like, and it also could work for other occassions, if needed. I'm not sure what part of Houston you're in, but they have two that I know of for sure: one is off of Nasa Rd. 1 and the Gulf Freeway, and the other one is off of 1960 and the Tomball Parkway (near Willowbrook, not far from Cosco and Sam's Club). I hope this works for you.
