Very productive. It was hot & sunny (first time in a loooong time here) all weekend, and we got the yard "done", flowers planted, garage cleaned out, son had a buddy over for O. of the days and a nice cookout with the fam today. HUsband & son got to do some baseball cages & golf range.
Whew! Back to work to relax tomorrow...

Amazing weekend.

Friday we went into the City to see my dad perform for the first time on a big stage in front of people. It was Seattles annual FolkLife Festival. Mainly it is a hippie fest where you can eat any sort of food you can think of...See just about any type of performers you want and rock out. We found aHula hoop guy. We spent an hour just hoopin around. It was fun. We also saw the BEST Blue Grass band...Only to find out after they were done playing...none of them had played together....they all jsut say hey we have instruments...lets go. It was great. We ended the night with watching the kids at the skateboard park do their thing....we didnt get home until eleven!

Saturday my momma took me to get my toes done! LOVE IT! We got to girl gab for a bit. I also had a great conversation with a lady that teacher first grade. She helped me out with some stuff regarding my kiddo with Sensory disorder...Rockin! Then we were back up in Seattle for another afternoon at the FolkLife Fest. This time there was about 25k people. We lost my middle kid fifteen minutes into being there. It was the second scariest moment of my life. Lucky for me I have a smart kid. He found as he describes...''The oldest Lady in the fair''...and she took him to the EMT tent. After I realized I was not finding him on my own I asked an event Person what to do...They walkie talkied the info I gave him to somewhere and The best thing I ever heard came across the radio...WE have your kid(mind you my son has a mop top of blonde curly hair and he is a chunky monkey so when they said they had him...I knew they had him no kid comes close to what he looks like). I had never been so happy to see that monkey! The rest of the day was cake...We found the Hula hoop guy...Rocked it out with him for about two hours. Then spent the rest of the day just cruising around the Festival.

Sunday was my oldest Birthday!! I love him so much...We had a BBQ at grandmas!! She did stroller races(we had the stroller i n the house so that there was a safe place for my youngest to do time out...)around the kitchen!! Then we went to the other grandmas for dessert!! He got Heelys' Which I am not thrilled about but I am learning they are not the plague like I thought...

Today we went with my FIL and His GF. We took the train back into Seattle and did the Space Needle. This was hard because I am deathly afraid of heights...I have been up there before, but wanted to go with the kids..So I went..I brought our cam-corder....This way I can remember the trip..and wont have to go next time. We didnt know that FOlkLife was happening still today..So after the Needle we did round three...Too much of a good thing...just about:)

Now we are home..they are still wired on cotton candy and seeing Grandpa...So bedtime is not in sight...which stinks because they have school tomorrow;(

Small price to pay for a GREAT Memorial Day weekend!!The weather also was not half bad..not to hot..Sunday was over cast but, hey it didnt RAIN!!!

It was too cold to do anything outside. My son was with his dad. So...I just stayed warm and cozy and fiddled around the house. I had a nice nap this afternoon.

Sounds like you had a really nice weekend!

Not exactly restful, but significantly restful.
Went over to a girlfriend's house on Saturday night; we ate guac and crackers, drank good wine, made a pizza from scratch and worked on a jigsaw puzzle for three hours, listening to Tom Jones and Tony Bennet, just because. (We dubbed it "Supper Club Music".)

Took a two hour nap on Sunday .That was lovely. I was in debt on my sleep bank and my sweet husband took kiddo to the park. I was actually out before they even left, and he was kind enough to call ahead before coming home. Had a nice snack out and sushi in, so that was a big treat too. (He got paid early, yeay!)

Today's been great: arranged a playdate with the little girl across the street. Got my work for my school week done, planted more seeds in the garden, husband got some time to work on his stuff, and now Kiddo's in bed and I'm going to watch the BBCs version of Trollope's " He Knew He Was Right". Mmmmmm tv comfort food.....

Nice question to end the day with!

I plan to enjoy everyone one them as well. I'm glad you had a good weekend too and congratulations on your new ( new to you) car!

Your weekend sounds great! I had all sorts of things planned and was so looking forward to the 3 day weekend only to be hit with a migraine all day Saturday and the migraine hangover Sunday. So today I just felt lazy! But lazy is good too!?!? We're getting blown away too today! But I think I'm out of the bad stuff. Hope you are too!

fun, but tiring! Sat we went into town to sign up our 3 yr old for swim lessons, ran errands. Sunday we went river rafting, then ate, then went swimming in the river (no nap for the 3 yo). Monday met our neighbors (we're new to the neighborhood) and just got home an hour ago. Tiring (no nap today either), but fun. Oh and I am sunburned on my tummy which hurts like the dickens! Esp when the 3 yo climbs onto my lap.

I spent this weekend mainly relaxing with husband and daughter, and cleaning here and there as the mood struck me and the time was found.

Pretty good. Got a new kitchen installed in our summer home. Of course IKEA didn't provide the exact order of the kitchen, but we dealt with it. My kids had a lot of fun running around and watering our new vineyard and veggie garden. I completed some house painting and had some nice cooked meals made by mother-in-law. What else can I ask for? I hope there will be more to come.

Brilliant. :D

We were discharged from hospital on Friday (just in for 3 weeks, so not long, but long enough to be well and truly sick of it) and got to treat at home all weekend (IV antibiotics, respiratory therapy, etc.). Only 1 ER trip. Cooking real food, and our own beds, and movies/videogames. Heaven.

I spent time pricing things for the garage sale this next weekend. Placed 102 stepping stones under the living room window to get rid of the mud puddle and give our grand daughter a flat level surface to play. Turned out great. Had her on Monday for a bit, so we took her to Dollar Tree and bought sidealk chalk. She loves being able to draw on her new checkerboard patio! She says the red stones are hot lava and had her dinosaurs on the brown stones trying to get to the great valley to eat tree stars. Went to friends to bbq and play horse shoes. Had a nice visit with a bunch of people. Goofed around on the computer. It rained and made a puddle next to the stepping stones, and now is predicted to rain all week and weekend so not sure about the garage sale. Just gives me more time to clean out more junk I guess. It was fairly relaxing normal weekend. Thanks to all our heros!
