Tomorrow I'm thinking about making a Blueberry Cake from the 4th of July post I found on this awesome blog (octoberfarm.blogspot.com -- btw you're welcome to all you foodies out there :P) Potentially, making it to the pool but I hold no promises there
Sunday- New church again (lovin' it) and volunteering afterwards :D

I'm so happy it's Friday, but it's going to be a busy one. I'm having a garage sale at a friend's house tomorrow and have a lot of prep to get done today, with Kiddo in tow!

But tomorrow, I get to sit on my butt most of the day with a beer and good snacks and take it easy and make some money, hanging and chatting with my girlfriend. Nice....

Kiddo's excited, too, because while the sale is going on, my husband is taking him to the nickel arcade. AND he gets to keep the money from some of the toys sold to put toward a toy bow and arrow he's saving for. Win/win!

I'm still in the morning-coffee phase of "I'm not so sure about this whole life thing, god. I think it may not have been well thought out."

I haven't even gotten to realizing what day it is, yet.

No I am not excited.
There are major mechanical problems with our van... probably due to the accident it was in a couple of years ago. Anyway, it could cost thousands, to fix it. Which, we are not rich. And so, we have no vehicle since yesterday. The vehicle is still being diagnosed/assessed. Hoping the insurance company will cover it.
Even if it is fixed, who'd want to drive around a damaged vehicle from an accident? I thought it was fine, now there are other problems with it etc.
Anyway.

Oh and Husband has been just a turd lately.

I am supposed to have a sleep over for my daughter this weekend and a play date for my son. But I am not feeling all "Doris Day" or "Mary Poppins" about things right now.

Its our No Kid Weekend! Yippee! Kids go to our ex's every other so although we miss them...we are FRREEEEE!!!

I think we are taking the kids to see Ice Age today before they go to their dads house (my step is already at her moms). After they get picked up, we will either go see another movie or dinner.

I bought a used mini van a month ago and have had nothing but problems with it. $2300 later, we decided to head to the mountains tomorrow to "test" it and to get out of the heat (will be 108, which is actually on the cooler side for us). Its a cute little town that has antique shops, restaraunts, casino and movies. So we go up and spend the day and sometimes stay overnight. Its only 80 miles so its a nice get-away. So pray for us that our van is finally fixed and makes it!

Sunday is church and hubs has to work a little before the kids come home. =)

Yes. Thank goodness. But this week went by quickly. Only 4 more weeks before my oldest goes to K. That's not on my mind AT ALL (sarcasm font).

Heading the in-laws for a church festival when hubs is off work, staying the night there, heading to my brother's family's house for more fun on Saturday.

Still need to clean the house, pack everything up, and get the kids and dog ready. I'm procrastinating of course. :) Not a good thing to do with the 2 y.o. is napping. You'd think I'd learn by now!

Happy weekend, ladies and gents!

I WAS excited about today. Our plans were to go to this gorgeous lake with some friends, but it's raining. It wasn't supposed to rain today. ::sigh:: Although my husband is currently at an interview so that's a good thing. We could use some prayers for that.

Meeeeee!!!! It's been a long week and I've had an upper respiratory infection with my ear being infected and I couldn't hear out of it. Finally, I woke up today feeling lots better!

My husband's aunt is in from Idaho, so we are going after work to have dinner with her and my sisters in-law at Blue Mesa.

Tomorrow, I get to go meet my sister's first foster child and then on Sunday, we have week 3 of a great series at church that annually brings in a ton of people from the community to hear a great message about God.
Happy Friday!!!

Always happy when Friday rolls around! Not sure what we are doing, and honestly it doesn't matter, only thing that matters is that The Man is home with us!!

Long live the weekend, indeed!

My oldest is at a Star Wars cooking class right now. This afternoon he has karate, and then hubby will be home for dinner (YAY!) That is an increasingly rare event--he works LONG hours and rarely gets to see the kids before bed time.

Tomorrow a local theater is doing a special-needs showing of Ice Age 4, which is free for special needs kids & their siblings, and $5 for everyone else. Since last weekend we tried to take the kids to a regular theater to see it, and my oldest was scared of the noises & darkness in the theater, we left early.

Today: regular chores and "homeschooling time" (short but still exists), get new tires on the car, do the weekly menu, shopping list, do the weekly shopping, get a 1 hour massage. Tonight is family night: we're making a couple pizzas together (along with our salads), watching a movie, playing Jenga and continuing their "checkers training" (ha).
Tomorrow: I'm making boudin biscuits (with provolone cheese--yum!) for breakfast and we're leaving early in the morning to go to the beach for a few hours. Taking Jer's car to the shop for regular maintenance and dropping it off there. Working on some changes to our "plan" and finances. Reworking our budget together. Contemplating a big change and move (maybe). Going to the library.
Sunday: Church, bbq with the neighbors across the street, pool.
Simple, nothing crazy this week, but it'll be good. Glad to have some face time with husband, and we need to get some things figured out so it'll be good.

I'm super excited! I have a date with my husband tonight. We are going to a nice restaurant. I can't wait! We leave in in an hour!

The rest of the weekend is up in the air. I will be preparing for a camping trip next weekend and probably chores :(
