Do You Feel Blessed Today?

I feel SO blessed today! I am so lucky to have the husband I have, even in the really bad times when he seems like the last person I want around. My kids may drive me up ten walls at a time, but they are the most amazing kids in the world. I didn't get diamonds today...but I got something even better - the undying love of my kids and husband, and time with my family. My siblings were all together for the first time in almost a year. Do you feel so blessed??

What can I do next?

I do. I was thinking today how easy it would be to feel disappointed that we couldn't go out for brunch or dinner at a nice restaurant because we have no money. But I realized that the most important thing about Mother's Day is the fact that I am lucky enough to be a mother. I have two beautiful, healthy children who make me laugh and made me presents without anyone prompting them to do it. With so many women having problems conceiving or having problems during pregnancy or with their babies, I feel so blessed that I was lucky enough to have two perfectly healthy pregnancies, two healthy babies, and now two healthy kids. All because I met and married the greatest guy in the world. :-) Life is not perfect, but there are so many things to feel thankful for, and today is one of those days to feel grateful.

Happy Mothers' Day!! :-)

I have a husband who loves me and cherishes me. (yes, we have our problems but we work through them). I have two boys that love me and I adore to the moon and back 1million times....

I have a husband who works hard so I don't have to work outside the home.

I feel like everyday is like a mothers day. Not because I am given gifts, cards, flowers and meals, but because I have a beautiful family and we are healthy , happy and love each other. Even during our darkest times, I know I am always loved and appreciated.

I also feel very blessed, lucky and charmed. I was able to fly up and help our daughter pack up her room from college. This fall she will be a senior. She has flourished and is a great person.

My husband is amazing, even when he gets on my last nerve. He keeps us laughing, he is dedicated to us, and he is a very hard worker. ''

We also are blessed that really the majority of our family lives around here and we get to see them as much as we want.

Not everything is perfect, but that is ok. We have each other to get through the tough times.

Yes.

We celebrated Mother's Day yesterday, because my Husband has so much work and studying to do today.
And we all went out to dinner last night with my Mom too.
Yesterday too, Me & Hubby had a real nice conversation about my daily irks. He was so mature about it. Surprised me.
We even had sex!
It was a nice day yesterday.
I even got a beautiful M. jewelry necklace with my kids' photos in it (which I did NOT expect at all!), flowers, handmade cards from my kids.

It was good.
Nice.
Appreciated.
Very special.
Family all together.

My kids, I am home with them today, by myself for a bit. Hubby studying etc. Its okay.
They have had meltdowns already.
I did not get irritated.
I just laughed it off!
Ha!
Didn't know I could do that.
I did.

Its all good.

Happy Mother's Day to you.

All the best,
Susan

I am blessed. My little guy, 10, brought me breakfast in bed. BUt I had already gotten out of bed and he gave it to me while in my underwear coming out of the bathroom.
He had the bggest smile, and said "I did it all myself this year M.". Last year the girls helped him make pancakes, this year he did Grape Nuts and yogurt and a piece of toast. He's a good boy.
One of the girls cleaned out my van after church, the other made me a bouquet of origami flowers, so they wouldnt' die. haha (and I just answered the post about getting flowers.)
And the sailor called after breakign his phone yesterday, he got a new one today so he wouldn't miss Mother's Day.
God Bless you all today, too. You have also blessed me with all your infinite wisdom. Cheers!!!

Yes, I do. I am married to the most perfect man for me. My one and only child is amazing. I got to spend all day with them. :) My hubby and DD made me home-made cards yesterday & surprised me with them this morning (and a dozen roses). But even if there were no cards or roses, my spending the day with them was priceless. I feel very lucky to have who I have in my life. Things are good. :)

More than words can express! My husband made me a homemade card from my boys and it was the sweetest thing I've ever read! I don't know what I've done to deserve my hubby and 2 boys, but I have more than my fair share of blessings!!

Yes! Not only did my husband cook breakfast and dinner for me (funny--I had to stay in the kitchen because he had a lot of questions, but he really wanted to do it "all by himself"--I just sat in a chair and we talked while he cooked), and I got sweet cards and a great surprise gift, but I was thinking that perhaps mother's day is a special day for moms to stop and think about what it means to be a mother and reflect on our blessings, not to just have that "it's all about me, it needs to revolve around me today" mentality.
My husband tried to take care of me, but it was still a teamwork effort as always. He stayed with the boys and entertained the boys while I ran to the store to get some things we needed; I took the boys out so he could get a nap because he was up early; the plan was that we were all going to a birthday party for our oldest son's classmate but our youngest was acting up (ears?) and wasn't in a good party mood, so he stayed home with the youngest while I went to the party with the oldest. He cooked the dinner for me and we all sat around the table together, then when the boys went to bed we cuddled on the couch and gave each other foot rubs while watching Amazing Race. I had a lot of time in between the day to think about what a good life I have, how my life has changed for the better since becoming a mom, what kind of mom I want to be, etc. I felt pampered--more so than normal, for sure, but I also took time to think about my blessings and made me want to be an even better mom, every day. Yes there are lots of women who long to be a mother and for whatever reason it hasn't happened the way they wanted....so it is a time to reflect on our blessings and not be so "what about me" oriented.
