We are going to Disneyland around Halloween. We are trying to decide if we should purchase tickets for Mickey's Halloween Party. Have any of you been while at Disneyland? Is it worth the 60 bucks a ticket? From all of the research I have done it really looks like a lot of fun. I am sure my kids would enjoy it. I just want to hear from any of you that have been and if it is highly recommended or if it is something that isn't a big deal if we don't do. We are really trying to decide between the Halloween Party and character dining. Any opinions on what is more fun and more worth the money?
Thanks for any advice!!

We go every year, at last a couple time each season.
It is a ton of fun! The special fireworks show is my favorite one they do all year. They give out pounds of candy as well as healthy snacks at the trick or treat stations, we never have to buy candy to hand out because we get more than enough. The crowds are really light. A lot of the rides that always have long lines are walk ons. We've gone on Indiana Jones 3 or 4 times in one night before, same with Space Mountain.
They have character meet and greets with characters that aren't out often.
We love it to pieces and look forward to it every year!

We are going to Mickey's Halloween for the third straight year this year. We usually go with several of my son's friends (they are now 6 years old). It is really fun! All the kids are in costume and there are trick or treat stations set up all over the park. You get a TON of candy (adults too). Lines are shorter for the rides because there are fewer guests in the park and many are getting their candy.

The fireworks show for Halloween is very cool too. You can do character dining anytime, but you can only do Halloween in October. : )

it is definitely cheaper than paying for the whole day. Definitely do a week night though because the friday nights are VERY crowded. This firework show is my absolute favorite. They will have special characters in costume and special food. Plus all of the candy. And darn good candy too! We never paid full price though. APs and cast get a discount also if you have a disney visa.

We went to this two years ago and it was so much fun. They had a halloween parade, lots of trick or treating stations. There were special fireworks.
We only went for that so we stayed until the end. It starts around 4pm. They clear the park out except for the people for this event.
We all dressed up. It was a blast.
Did lots of rides.
Many blessings and have fun

A friend of mine went to Disneyland and stayed overnight on Halloween. She said that they went to bed and during the night all of the Halloween decorations were taken down, and when they woke, all of the Christmas decorations were up!
