I would as far as the costume goes don't do anything til halloween rolls around. And then take all those things she has asked for and ask her what it is about each one that she likes. could be that she just likes the bright colors and the fairy wings. And then go from there. I would stay away from the horned unicorn thing it might not be allowed on the rides. same goes for big capes, wings etc. so let her know that you might have to narrow it down some.

My granddaughter brought her own dress for the bippity boppity boo thing. she loved it. you might be able to talk her into that for the halloween party day.

Micky's not so Scary party is so much fun and when we went it was not crowded at all. It was so much fun. Be sure to watch the parade. It's a really good one. And you can get into the park much earlier than what they tell you. But plan to be there late - so get in a nap if possible before you go. The longer you are there, the more rides you can get onto easily. We rode Small World/Peter Pan/Haunter Mansion so many times that evening. Lot's of characters are out, too. You would turn a corner and - hey, there's Pluto. All Seven Dwarfs with Snow White. It's awesome! In fact, I'm looking forward to the Christmas Party in my near future.

And bring a strong bag - you will have so much candy. In fact, I suggest that your boyfriend buy a back pack if he doesn't own one and plan on using it as his bag. I did that with my hubby and let him carry everything - I only had a small purse. It was my turn to not carry all of our stuff!

Start making your dining reservations ASAP. And one suggestion i have is to find out what restaurants have an added benefit. For example, if you go to one of the restaurants at DHS, you can get guaranteed seating for Fantasmic. A super good deal.

Have fun!! Do a lot of research - no matter how much you do, you still feel like these is so much that you won't see. So make the most of your time by planning, planning, planning. It's worth doing.

You should check out the special offers. WDW just released a promotion for free dining for that time of year if you are staying on property. You should check and see if you meet the requirements.

You can bring your own dress for the Boutique. I would splurge the extra $5 and include the fingernail painting, that is a favorite of my girls. Book that now with the dining to get the best day/time. The castle is my girls favorite place for the boutique. They loved being pampered then walk around the park and riding the rides in their princess outfits. We also made sure they had comfy,cute sandals to wear with their dress, so they don't have sore feet the next day from the princess shoes.

The castle is definitely somewhere to do breakfast (maybe after the boutique so she looks like a princess)if you daughter is into princesses!

We did a breakfast at Chef Mickey's and a lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table. Both were very good and . Chef Mickey's was a buffet where the main Disney characters like Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, etc. visit each table. Cinderella's Royal Table was a nicer, sit-down meal with the Princesses doing table visits. It's inside the castle, so it's a really neat setting. I've heard nothing but great things about Be Our Guest and plan on trying that one when we go again next year. If you want to see Elsa and Anna, they're exclusively at Akershus (sp?) in Norway in Epcot. They do another princess meal there. We did our princess meal the day we did Bibbidi Bobbiti Boutique, so she was all dolled up when she met the princesses. We've done the boutique twice now and brought our own dress each time. There are different packages, but we've always done a princess hairdo, makeup, and nails. It's an amazing experience for the child.

Have a fabulous time! I can feel your excitement. One thought to consider though is to tell your daughter sooner rather than later. Much of the joy of a vacation is in the anticipation and planning. I would let your daughter help with this. Chef Mickey's is great for kids. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. all come out and stop at each table so you can take a quick picture. Ours LOVED it & enjoy looking back at all the pictures. My biggest suggestion is to always have kids sit on the outside of the table with the adults on the inside. That way when the characters come out they have easy access to the kids..and you are on the opposite side to snap the pictures.

Even if you don't go to Chef Mickey's, when making your meal reservations, be sure to reserve a couple of the "character meals", it's so much easier to take the pics there, as opposed to waiting in a line while in the parks.

Also, if you did the meal plan and are staying at one of the resorts, you can also have pizza ordered to your room/villa..we didn't realize that until our last night there.

We used a travel agent too and she was wonderful with suggestions, but we were on our own to make our meal reservations. I did ours over the phone & the Disney Dining rep gave us wonderful suggestions..we loved everywhere she suggested. She suggested T-Rex (it wasn't a character meal), but our boys especially loved all the dinasours & the food was great.

Have a blast! I'm so excited for you!! I'd give anything to be going back, but it will have to wait a few years!

If you are booking character meals 180 days out make sure to be ready to book at 6am as the days become available.

We like Chef Mickey's and have done Ohana for breakfast and it was good too. Crystal Palace with pooh and friends is great and usually can get a reservation. Only place to meet Eeoye and piglet except at parties.

We'll be there the next weekend, for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend and the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party of the season! I'm a little disappointed that our travel agent said we wouldn't quality for the free dining plan, but otherwise we're pretty pumped!

We go to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas every year (we are local). It does get busy but its not that bad. Universals Halloween party gets busier but I would not bring a child there (they recommend 14 and up).

They will have character meet and greets that are not usually out like Capt. Jack Sparrow, Jack Skellington, Sally, etc. The trick or treating is done throughout the park and they have big blow ups so you know just where to stop.

They have a special parade and fireworks for Halloween and the park will be decorated. The price for the party is separate then the regular ticket so I would use the party as one of your days to visit Magic Kingdom.

I will suggest that you book all your special dinners and the boutique before arriving. You can bring your own dress to the boutique.

I recommend that you have fun and not expect to see and do everything.

We have done the halloween party for the last four years at Disneyland. I've never been to disney world but I'd imagine they are similar.

it's REALLY fun. I definitely recommend it. The crowds are a lot smaller since they sell separate tickets and limit the number of guests (make sure you buy your tickets!). They give out a ton of candy and, though the lines seem long, they move quickly. So many people are trick or treating that the lines for the rides are pretty short too.

We usually work our way through the park, going to the treat stations, then doing a ride or two along the way to the next treat stop. Bring extra bags to hold your candy in. We usually collect more than can fit in the bag they provide.

One thing I did learn about the party is that it's not super stroller friendly. We had a hard time maneuvering the strollers through the treat lines and you end up kind of far away from where you start, so it's not really convenient to leave the stroller and walk through the line. Also, in the dark and with everyone in costume, it's just harder to push the strollers around in general. If your kids are old enough to walk it, leave the stroller home for the event.
