So What Happened?

We plan on being there at 4pm! I know they only sell 4000 tickets per night for this event and Disneyland has a capacity of 80000 so it should be pretty empty right? , how where the lines???

Yes - LOVED IT. Can't wait to go for the Christmas party!

All kids get dressed and half of adults. So enjoy that part. Otherwise, it's not too crowded if you go on a weeknight. Definitely catch the parade from the beginning. The first thing you see id the headless horseman ride by - such a great and fun start. And I guarantee you will be singing the Boo to you parade song for a few days!

Trick or treat and bring a backpack for your hubby to hold the candy in - you'll get a lot.

Lots of characters are out so plan to take Halloween pics. I love all of mine. And of course, go to the Haunted Mansion (maybe twice).

You can get in as early as 4 PM but we stayed until 12 and found that we could get on any ride quickly by 10:30 (maybe not Toy Story or Peter Pan).

Have fun - I'm so jealous!!!

Just noticed that you said Land and not World but that shouldn't make a difference. Lines were very manageable. Especially as it got later. Get a good seat for the parade - we got sodas and popcorn and had fun waiting for the parade to start and just people watching all of the costumes.

Haven't been to the party, but we were at the park on a day they had the party last year and I have to agree with the people watching. Wow, the costumes were incredible. Some costumes we saw looked like they were done by professionals (some costumes should have been left in the closet!!!). The party looked like great fun.

Happy Halloween!

It's really fun! We're going this year for the third year in a row and I think I am just as excited as my son.

The lines for the candy stations are really long, but they move really quickly so don't be wary of standing in them. Plus, most stations actually have 3-4 different candy stops in them.

You end up with A TON of candy. The bags they give out to collect candy have been too small each year, so have a second bag or a place to dump some of the candy (backpack, whatever) so you can collect more.

Some places close down to accommodate the trick or treating. The big restaurant by Fantasyland (Village Haus) closes early, so don't plan to have dinner there.

Make sure you get your wristbands as soon as you enter the park. Once the park closes to the non-party people, you can't go on any rides or trick or treat without the wrist band.

Have fun! I can't wait to go. : )

SO MUCH FUN!!!!! they shut down the park to everyone who does not have a ticket. There seemed like a lot more people than 4000 but lines were not as long, they had more characters out and about. The firework show was AMAZING and the parade was cool as well. the trick or treat booths went really fast.
We really loved it

no they do not only sell 4000 tix per night. maybe 40,000. When we went it was pretty crowded. DO NOT MISS THE FIREWORKS. it is the BEST show they do. IMO you do the things for this event that are not regular Disney since you have passes. Get the **special** map when they give it to you and priortize your night based on what you cant normally do.
