Advice on Larger Sizes

Can anyone recommend a store or website that sells larger sized lingerie? I was measure at a local shop that specializes just in bras and shapewear. I take a 36DDD or 38DD Bra and apparently Victoria's Secret doesn't cater to the Larger Busted women. I'm sick of DH buying me stuff from there every Valentine's that doesn't fit. I'm very frustrated because I know i am not Out of the range of normal but i feel like a freak.
Thanks.

I'm going to edit this. I don't have a problem finding bras because of the speciatly shop, they just don't carry the teddies, and nighties etc that hubby insists on buying. He and i have discussed that I would even appreciate flowers more than uncomfortable unmentionables, but it's still not getting through to him. i will try the websites suggested though, hopefully that will allow him to buy what he wants for me and allow me to breath with out ripping something.

Ugh! Victoria's Secret SUCKS unless you are a C cup or below and/or have fake boobies. I used to love them, but then I tried on a "real" bra & saw where my D cup-DD cup boobs were supposed to be!

I've had great luck w/ www.barenecesseties.com (I hope I'm spelling that right!) and www.zodee.com as well as www.figleaves.com

Hope that helps some!

Hi K.,

I have the same problem. I found a wonderful lingerie shop named "Underneath it all" it's located in Camp Hill, PA. The owner's name is Kim and if she doesn't have it in stock she will order it for you. She has a little bit of everything *wink*. She was even able to help me when my milk came in and needed a 40H nursing bra, she had one in the store!!!

Good Luck!

Lane Bryant ONLINE is best for the larger sizes. I couldn't get my size in the stores. But for a larger variety of brands and items http://www.figleaves.com/us/home.asp would get my vote. They have bathing suits too!

I had that problem too and one of my friends introduced me to Frederick's of Hollywood. You can either shop online or request a catalog to be sent to your house. Also local stores are Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug. I hope this helps.

Tulips on Old York Road in Jenkintown has larger sizes. You should be able to find what you need there.

I know how you feel...I'm in the 34G or 36DDD range. I can't say that they'd be "sexy" lingerie, if that is what you are looking for, but JcPenney sells a few styles in their catalog in the 36DDD size, and several others in the 38DD area. I'm afraid I have to order any bras I buy. Victoria Secret does carry bras in a 38DD, because I bought one, but they size a little small, so if you wanted to try them, you might want to try it on in the store first. They usually sell them in the VERY bottom drawer. The only one I have ever bought from them, however, I had to pass on to my MIL. I tried the 38DD on in the store on Friday and by Monday couldn't wear it, because although I didn't know it at the time I was pregnant with my son and by that time my cleavage had come in, even more than usual. I wish I could be of more help...good luck with the search. I wish companies would realize there are larger breasted women out there too!

Hi K., Try Lane Bryant! Go to the store...ask an associate there to help you find a proper fitting bra. I finally did a year ago and have been in "bra heaven" since. There is nothing better than having bra's that fit well and give you the look you want. Lane Bryant is no more expensive (actually they have great sales alot) than VS and they have a very wide selection of sizes, colors, and styles. Go...have fun with it!! Best wishes

Victorias secret does carry the 38 DD and you'll find more options on their website than in any store. Though, you still won't have as much of a selection as smaller busted women. Try figleaves.com or barenecessities.com to find bras for larger busted women. I feel your pain. I can rarely find a bra in my size in the store. I was measured to be a large 36DD (whatever that means). I would suggest lane bryant but since you are smaller like a 36 even a 38, I have noticed they rarely have those sizes in stock or online.

Hi K.- I too have the same problem I wear a 34 H which is next to impossible to find. I found this great website www.breakoutbras.com. They have everything from nursing bras to cute sexy bras and they are supportive. I have tried Lane Bryant bras in the past and they stretch out easily and don't have a lot of support. The best bra I have gotten from Breakout bras is the Freya Pollyanna. They are in European sizes but the people at the 1-800 number are great and very helpful. They offer free shipping and once you order to get a discount code for your next order. They are a little pricey but well worth it!

Hi K., I used to wear a 34DDD or 34F (prior to pregnancy and nursing) and loved, loved, loved bras made by Wacoal. They are sold at Department stores (Macy's and Nordstrom I believe). They tend to cost a little more, but last forever and are beautiful. They also have matching panties, which is a nice bonus. Good luck!!!

K.,
I wear larger sized bras. I mostly buy them at JcPenney. Macy's and Kohl's also carry the larger sizes. If they do not have a good selection in the store, you can often find them on their website. www.barenecessities.com has a large selection of larger bra sizes. You can search by bra size and sort by price.

do online search I found several and they have lots in that size. I'm much larger 50DDD and have only a handful of choices.

Catherines is bigger size of Lane Bryant, and they carry plenty of bras in that size.

Look for a Lane Bryant store in your local mall. They cater to larger sizes, and their Cacique bras are out of this world.

The Wacoal Brand has larger sizes. I can find them at Nordstroms, Macy's,specialty lingerie stores etc. I will warn you-they are pricey!! Also, look on Ebay for new bras that are cheaper. I know how you feel-I am the same way. It's hard to find sexy things to fit us!!!!! Good Luck :)

There is a store called Cacique in King of Prussia Mall that is connected to Lane Bryant-right next to it. They have plus size lingerie that doesn't look like something your grammy would wear.
Good luck,
G.
