Happy New Years mama's…
For those of you with big breast what are your most favorite bras and or places to shop. Do you have a favorite sexy bra…do you have a favorite comfy bra? What about sports Bras…. They don't necessarily have to be cheap. I am willing to invest in a good bra or two! Thanks

It just depends. I am like Mamaduck, small band, large breasts, Victoria Secret is one of the few places I can find that makes a 34 DDD. I have started trying Soma which the fit is great but they also create old lady boobs. If you are wondering what old lady boobs are, well, they aren't front and center anymore, they are more smushed and to the sides.

I second Katrina's advice in going to a specialty shop. They will often fit you more correctly because they usually carry a larger variety of cup sizes. Often times, a store will go up in the band size if they don't have the proper cup size. For instance, if they only go up to DD or DDD, if you are really a 34 G they would put you in a 38DDD, see what I'm saying?

Wacoal is far and away the best brand I have found, but they aren't a minimizing style-- they do hold you up and forward. A more relaxed and minimizing style would be the Fantasie bras. Good luck.

Where to buy usually depends on your band size. I'm more of an unusual size. 34 DD/DDD. Most of the time I have to settle for 36 band if I need a bra in the moment.. Why the popular bra makers don't make more of the smaller band sizes with larger cups, I don't know.
Because of my band size, sports bras are hard to shop for. Most of the time, to get them big enough for the cups, my boobs fall out the bottom. It's a mess. So, I don't have much in the way of recommendations on that. I figure that I probably should stick to low impact exercises. ;)
Wacoal makes a good bra for the bigger girls. Not cheap, but you can get them at Macy's, Belk, or other department store.
Figleaves.com has some awesome sexy bras in larger cups. The downsize is that you can't try them on, but they have a decent return policy. I have also bought bathing suits from this company and was very happy.
Hope this helps.

I'm a 44 G. I like a minimizer. The Enell Sports Bra changed my life. It used to be known as the "Oprah" bra because she liked it. It's not pretty, but it holds those babies in close to your body like nobody's business. I wear it as an every day bra. Their sizing is a little different, but I wear a size up from my true size because I'm generally not running in it when I wear it. http://www.barenecessities.com/enell-maximum-control-wire...

I see that you are in Chula Vista. If that is in fact the case, there is a shop in Mission Valley Called Enchantress. They specialize in hard to find bra sizes. The lady that helped me was so nice and didn't make me feel terribly self conscious. They will help size you so you are not wearing the wrong size (you know that more women are wearing the wrong size than the correct one?). The shop shares the parking lot with the Hooters there and is in the same center.
It is worth the trip!

ETA: I'm a 36F and they had quite a few there in that size. One place tried to put me in a 40F and I was swimming in it.

Are you plus size or large cups? I'm a 34 DD and love to buy swim wear at Bravissimo.com. I think I'd like their bras too and want to invest in a few when I'm done nursing. They do sexy /supportive in lots of unusual and large sizes. Other than that, i head to Macys or Nordies for bras, they last for years and there is usually someone who can fit you if you ask.

A friend of mine loves Wacoal. I believe she gets hers at Macy's but there may be other places online. She says it is the best sports bra she ever used.

A specialty shop. Victoria's Secret doesn't carry enough variety in large sizes - they would up my number and not my cup because it's what they carried. Still didn't fit right! I've also had good luck at Nordstrom. They measure well and if they don't have an item available, they ship. It's spendy, but the bras LAST.

I'm a 38DDD and just went bra shopping this week! Boy what a hassle! One of my favorite styles is the balconette. It's supports well, keeps the girls covered, but is also sexy. I've found this style in the Ambrielle brand at JCP and also Lane Bryant and Fredericks of Hollywood. As for sports bras, my fav is Champion! Supportive enough for Zumba but easy to get in/out of with the eye hooks in the back and adjustable wide velcro straps.

I got 130 miles to Lane Bryant so I can try bras on. I plan on spending an hour in the dressing room. Every bra fits different no matter what the tag says.

I get a couple of 44DDD and a couple 42DDD and they last me for years. I wash them on hot water and dry them on high and sometimes perma press.

I have generous frontal acreage (40 DDD). For everyday bras I go to Lane Bryant. They have a wide selection of styles and shapes. For sports bras, I go through Title Nine Sports. Unless you live near a store, you're stuck with catalog shopping, but their customer service is top notch - they actually have bra consultants you can talk to, and if the fit isn't good you can send it back. They list their bras both by size and "bounce factor," so you can get something that is made for the type of activity you'll be doing.

I highly recommend going in to Nordstrom to get bras. They have the full range of sizes. I'm a 32DDDD, which is available just about nowhere in an actual store but Nordstrom. They even have multiple options for me when I go there.

Lane Bryant. They have a great selection I am a 42dd they go up to size h. I love their demi cups (good for every day or going out awesome boost) and their tshirt bra very comfy to lounge around in. They run 40 bucks but I get them when they have a sale but 2 get 2 or something like that and they normally average out to 20 per bra

I bought a bunch of pricy bras and discovered that the ones I liked the most are the Gilligan & O'Malley brand at Target. They have some that are lightly lined, which I like better than the ones that stand up on their own. I like having a bra that keeps people from seeing my nipples if they get hard inexplicably, and these do that great and are really comfortable.
