Ok I never had a wax down there in my life so I lost a lot of weight got a nice bathing suit and now comes the waxing TODAY! I couldnt sleep thinking about it if its going to be very painful. Now So many people tell me to go Brazalian I will love it, I really have no clue when it comes to this stuff any suggestions? Now Brazailian is not completey bare correct?
Ok so I got it down and it was not as bad as I thought. I must have a high pain tollerance but I was fine. I already scheuled my next one since there was some things that didnt completely come up.... I'm so glad I did this... Why did I wait so long?
Yes, it hurts and yes, they strip off all your hair down there! Including on your bum! I get them every summer and it is the yuckiest experience. But, like childbirth, the results are worth it. Trust me, the lady doing the waxing does this for a living, your hair is just another job.

In Illinois a brazilian should leave a landing strip only. Some salons will go totally bare, but most wont, they are afraid to tear the skin under the landing strip. I suggest taking 2 motrin before going, it will help. Go in with a good sense of humor. Its almost like going to the Gyno only its way more interesting and interactive! You will love it! Rarely is it possible to get all the hair, you will most likely have short fuzz and a few long hairs that are missed, be prepared to tweeze when you get home if it bothers you. They will usually ask if you want your backside and anal ring done. I suggest having it done, don't blush and say..."ummm, no thanks" It makes the whole service more complete.
Your hubby or Boyfriend will LOVE this! Mine always laughs and says its like getting a new girlfriend...wooohooo!

I believe a brazilian wax removes most of the hair, just a small amount will remain. A full brazilian leaves nothing at all. A french wax leaves the more than the brazilian, but less than a bikini wax.
bikini gets the sides and brazilian goes all out as far as you want, but be careful, they get the inner tush too...yowza! Painful...yes, but it does get better each time as long as you dont shave in between waxing. I love a brazilian and dont know many who dont once tried, but am now going for laser. Its less painful and permanent. While expensive up front, it's the same as 3 years of waxing. Good luck.

If you are freaked out, just get a bikini and see how it goes. A Brazilian is quite a commitment and if you decide after a strip or two that it is too much you'll be left looking "odd" LOL
A bikini is quick and easy and only does the sides which are not too sensitive.
I will offer everyone a quick piece of advice. DO NOT get a wax when you are 8 months pregnant. I am a hard core waxer, but the extra sensitivity down there during pregnancy made it almost unbearable. I have a regular woman I go to and she was ready to quit because I was almost in tears...it was BAD!

I had this done once. A brazilian should be a "landing strip" but make sure you ask before they start. I had a friend who thought she was getting a brazilian and they took the whole shebang - OUCH! If your tech is good, the process will take around 45 min.
Painful? well, I guess that's up to each individual. I thought it was worse than natural childbirth but I have a friend who does it regularly and says it gets better with each time. Although it hurt, I"m considering going back this summer because it was SUPER convenient!! My friend who goes regularly recommends taking your ipod (if you own one) and zoning out...if you don't think about it it won't hurt so bad.
