Wrinkles Before Age 30 - Zanesville,OH

I noticed in the past few months (during my 3rd trimester) that I was getting lines around my eyes. Not crows feet, but lots of little lines under my bottom lashes. I figured it was a temporary thing from lack of sleep and the pregnancy hormones, so I ignored it. But now my baby is 6 weeks old and the lines are worse. I feel like it makes me look 10 years older than I am! I use a lot of moisturizer already - one with spf 15 every morning and a heavy overnight cream before bed. I've never smoked, I don't suntan, and I drink lots of water. Is this just a product of being a mom??? Is there anything else I should be doing? If it's from lack of sleep then that's not going to change anytime soon. I knew I'd get wrinkles eventually but I thought it was a little further off!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I guess it is time to start using eye creme! My mom looks much younger than she is, so I guess I assumed I'd take after her. My dad looks his age (mid 50s) but he works outside and has all sorts of sun damage.

I agree that it cold be your genes. If you take care of yourself the way you say you do, they shouldn't be appearing like that right now.

I am 49, very little skin damage. I've used Clinique since I was 11. I easily pass for early 30's. I am faithful to my skin care routine day and night, use a lot of sunscreen and drink water. However, I still lack sleep,

Stress has a lot to do with wrinkles. Find a way to unwind sometimes.

Lack of sleep reeks havoc on your skin. So keep doing what you are doing and wait out the lack of sleep. Also you should look at your family, 99% of how we age is hereditary. Congrats on the new baby!

I'd say it has more to do with heredity--since you obviously take good care of your skin. I'm 47 and have very few wrinkles--but then again, neither does my 72 yo mother.......
Don't forget to moisturize your neck as well, to avoid that chicken neck thing later on!

Try Dr. Hauschka.. A bit expensive but I LOVE the Rose cream.. it's rich and goo for both day and night.. It doesn't clog pores like some creams can do..
no matter what other creams I have tried and I have tried MANY over the years.. I always return to the doctor............... :) Also, drinks LOTS and lots of water... dehydration can make your skin look older... don't measure your thirst level in order to figure out if you are dehydrated... by the time you sense thirst, you are already dehydrated...

Time to start using a good eye cream! Our skin starts breaking down in our 20's -- usually start seeing it in our 30's. Of course, I like Mary Kay's Timewise Firming Eye Cream. But research your options & find what works best for you!
