Does anyone have a source for great workouts? I'm looking for abs, legs, chest and arm workouts. I've heard about a new group of workouts but can't think of what they are called. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I checked into working with a personal trainer to get started. She was able to give me a few pointers on workouts and I believe I am on the right track! I'm looking into some of the DVDs you suggested to work on at home if I can't make it to the gym. Thanks for all the great responses!

If you have an on demand service from your cable provider, ExerciseTV is awesome. They have tons of diffent kinds of workouts to do.

My advice is to get a trainer and use them 3-4 times. It will give you a great start, and then you can learn the correct routines (and how to do the excercises correctly). I have the name of a really good one, if you are interested.

I'm part of a workout group called Baby Boot Camp. We work out in Olathe every day and we do resistance training with bands plus cardio and a pretty good ab workout too. The great part is you can bring your baby (or 2 year old! :)) if you don't have a day care or babysitter and it's fun!

Check out the website at babybootcamp.com

If you are looking for something you can do at home, I really enjoy the Tony Horton workouts. I have a good variety of them and they are great. His most recent are the Power90X videos, which are a little more advanced. All of his videos incorporate some yoga in them. I don't know that you can buy them in stores but you can find them and many other really good workouts at beachbody.com.

Hi there,
Have you ever heard of the show called Workout on Bravo? Check out www.Bravotv.com and click on the link to the store. I received the DVD they did on the show and LOVE it!! It's 3 separate workouts that you can do together or separate. Upper body, lower body and core/abs. The segments are 20 mins each so that makes it easy to just do one or all. And the DVD was only 12.99. All you need is a workout mat and free weights-if you like. I haven't used the free weights yet. It keeps you moving and I felt great after. Of course, today I'm pretty sore! It's such a great concept and easy to do while my little guy is napping! Good luck and have fun!
