Women's Boots

I would like to buy a pair of boots for myself, like the ones that are in style that I always see women wearing with jeans, skirts, etc. I'd rather not buy Uggs, not because I dislike them but it just seems that everyone has them and I'd like something different. My style is casual and they need to be comfortable. Any good recommendations?

What can I do next?

Not usually my style but Lands End has a cute pull on boot called the chalet boot. Saw it in their catalog and it looks really cute.

Oh boy, why not just go to DSW and look around?
Riding boots are really in right now (flats). There are so many styles, you really have to find which one suits you the best!

I just went to DSW and they have an incredible selection. I ended up getting gray suede booties and tall ninewest black leather boots - they are "dressy" - have a heel - and super comfortable - it is tall enough to add height, but low and substantial enough to be comfortalbe. Here is the kicker - I got these excellent socks that you put on and roll the top over the top of the boot and it is a cable knit sweater look and really dresses them down to wear over jeans and still have the right 'look'
Good luck!

Why not get a nice pair of riding boots? I got a great pair at Aerosoles. They are sooooo comfortable, but really fashionable. I wear them with skinny jeans, skirts, and dresses. I have worn them to work, church, the grocery store, etc... they are that versatile! Ninewest also has nice riding boots!

I'm totally an Uggs fan. I have two pairs that I alternate all winter. There's tons of different styles so you can get a pair that's more unique. But as far as comfort and warmth go...they're the best:)

Uggs are ug! And extremely "fat"ifying. And possibly made of dog.

Riding boots are great as are Rachel Comey's "Mars" boots. Google 'em

I got a great pair of suede slouchy boots (DH calls them my pirate boots) from Naturalizer last year and LOVE them. They were more than I would usually spend on anything for myself, and it was actually my hubby that talked me into the purchase. But they are very comfortable and CUTE!

I've also got cute more winter-like boots (fur around the cuff) from Sears, and I've been eyeing a new pair from Kohls. I've also looked at Overstock, DSW and Macys. Just depends on what you're looking for. Shoes.com has a huge selection and could be a good place to start just seeing what is out there.

I was SO happy when it finally became boot weather. I don't like sandals or flip flops, I am totally a boot and sweater kinda girl! Happy shopping!

I just got these boots yesterday at Payless...they are even cuter than in the picture I think. Anyway I really wanted a non-Ugg boot with no heel for casual everyday wear. These hit mid-calf but I also bought some super cute dark gray leg warmers to wear under them in case I want up to the knee coverage.
