i am taking my 6 year olds to disney world (orlando) in a couple of weeks, and need to decide which three parks we will visit.
we have done disney before when they were younger, but always went to magic kingdom and animal kingdom. i'd like not to do animal kingdom, but yes magic kingdom but having a hard time deciding where to go for other 2 parks? never been to any other park. some people say kids will love epcot some say they'll hate it. since i have never been i don't know what to do?
one of my girls loves wall-e and she thinks there will be wall-e rides and stuff. i looked online and doesn't look like they have anything wall-e related except merchandise.
so, my question is, which other two parks should we go for? and would be helpful if you could give me reasons or descriptions.
my girls are typical girls, love thrill rides, princess stuff etc.
thanks moms

Hollywood Studios is really fun. You have to go on the Toy Story ride. Get your Fast Pass the minute you walk in the door. Also, The Little Mermaid,The Beauty and the Beast performance are a must see for the girls. We went to the American Idol show too. My kids loved it (4 1/2).
Epot is fun for all . Get your Fast Pass for Test track right away. Soarin',The Land , are all fun too. We saw Daisy,Marie from Aristocats(my daughter's fave, Mary Poppins at some character spots. Not sure if they rotate. Also, There is a place near all the shops ,food(not the countries area) called The Cool Spot(I think) They serve free drinks of pop from around the world . Kind of fun. Some are great and some are horrible(Italy). Try to find the taking garbage can. Also in the same area. There is a great princess breakfast in Norway(must book in advance usually). The light show is great too. Get your spot early:)

If you do go to Animal Kingdom, get your fast pass for the Safari right away. We like the Triceratops Spin(like Dumbo without the long line), Nemo show.

Of course you could do Magic Kingdom everyday because your girls would love everything!

Have fun!

I ditto Danielle. We went last December and those were the 3 best for our kids. Fun times at all!! our kids were 6, 4, and 2 when we went and they all had a blast. Magic Kingdom was the best, but Epcot and Hollywood Studios were fun too!

I would go to Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios & Epcot. I just took my 6yr old and my friends took 3 girls (11, 7, & 3) and those were there favorite parks.

We are actually at Disney right now. First day here and we spent it at Hollywood Studios. I saw several recommendations for the Toy Story ride. It is currently being refurbished so you might want to check on that one. There aren't a ton of rides at HS, more shows -- Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid, Muppet Show, etc. The girls can also enjoy some Star Wars training if they are interested (I have two boys). There are a couple of stunt type shows/rides that I hear are entertaining. The Tower of Tower and the Aerosmith (sp?) Roller Coaster are not for the fainted hearted. My 6 year old son loved both, but my 8 year old son wouldn't go near it. Just depends on their personalities. Have fun, and try to stay dry.

L. - We go every year (in fact my husband and I got married there 8 1/2 years ago and I am running the marathon there in Jan 2011) and we will be going for our family vacation in Nov this year. My kids love Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Epcot. My son is 5 yo next week and my daughter 2 yo 3 mo. This will be my son's 4th trip, my daughter's 2nd. Magic Kingdom is always a hit, no matter what age or ability. Last year my son spend most of his time on Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain. My daughter, of course, loved Fantasyland. They both loved the Haunted Mansion. Not sure how tall you daughter's are, but they just redid Space Mountain, so I am looking forward to checking that out with my son (also he just clears the 44' requirement). And there are some great shows and parades. Toontown is cute , although I think that is more my daughter's speed and yours may be a little past that. My kids love animals (we have annual passes to the Philly Zoo), so for us Animal Kingdom was right up their alley. We had the Tusker House breakfast buffet (which is a character meal). Although a little expensive, the food was great and my kids enjoyed the characters. Actually we do a lot of character dining and I would say this is one of the best breakfasts. I think someone below mentioned the Safari, which is a lot of fun. My son also enjoyed the Dino ride and the bone dig. They have a lot of character meet and greets, if you daughters are into the whole autograph thing. There is also a train ride to another area in the park where there is a petting zoo and some other hands on activities for the kids. And this year my son and I plan on going on Everest (he was not tall enough last year) Epcot is lots of fun too. My kids like taking the monorail from MK to Epcot. We love Test Track, Soarin, the boat rides in Mexico and Norway and the Living Seas. The Garden Grill is a rotating restaurant that has character dining with Chip, Dale, Mickey and I think Goofy. That is in the Land. Food (particularly catfish) is great there. Again lots of meet and greet places and I think a lot of Princesses there too (although we have not explored that a lot yet as my daughter is just 2 yo and not into princesses yet). Although I like Hollywood Studios the only ride that appealed to my almost 5 yo was toy story (which is just like the Buzz Light year ride at MK). My 2 yo liked Playhouse Disney and the Little Mermaid Show, but your 6 yo may be past that. There is also Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk which are shopping/dining areas (if you are looking for "down" day activities). And there are several water parks and a mini-golf course (maybe 2) on Disney property. Hope this helps. Have a great time.

Took our 5 year old to Disney in January. We did Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom & Epcot (2 days in each park) we did a half day in Hollywood Studios as she just wasn't interested in anything there other than the Playhouse Disney Show. We had plans to return to Hollywood studios for another 1/2 day but she wanted to go back to Magic Kingdom to see the Fairies again:)
Our daughter enjoyed Epcot. They have Kidcot stops in each country & the kids can decorate a mask & get a little symbol from each country. They also write your child's name in the native language! We liked The living seas too. Turtle talk w/ crush is amazing. They do have a future world type thing in Epcot that we didn't get to see...perhaps there is some Wall-E type stuff in there? Have a blast. Plan but be flexible...

I just want to add something that my five year daughter loved at Epcot - The Kim Possible game you can play in the World Showcase. They give you a cell phone and you follow clues on a "secret mission" in various "countries." What is really cool is that the phone can trigger things to happen (ie making a rocket emerge out of the volcano in "Mexico."). Check it out. I see you decided to go to the three parks that I went to. I know your girls will have a blast. While at Epcot - definitely go on Soarin' too. My daughter still talks about the "Flying Over California Ride." It made me homesick because I grew up there. Have a wonderful time!
