I think there are several rides at Epcot a 6-yr-old would like - Spaceship Earth, the Nemo ride, the boat ride that goes around the Mexican restaurant. I doubt a young child would want to spend all day there, but it's worth a stop.

There are several cool things at Epcot for him. I personally wouldn't miss it. I fyou really really must leave one out then this maybe should be the one though. However 6 really is old enough IMO.

We skipped it all together last time we went (the kids on the trip were all boys - 6, 4 and 3 at the time). We did an extra day at Animal Kingdom instead - that was the hands down fav for all 3 boys.

With that said, as long as you have hopper passes, you can come and go as much as you want, so if you try it out and dont like it, you could always cut the day short and go somewhere else, or just spend a relaxing afternoon at your hotel!

I LOVE Epcot. It's my fav. But I can see how a kid would not be as impressed. If you had the chance, the last big show of the evening is the best. Fireworks and fire, how can a boy not like that?

My family that lives down there has season passes (kids are ages 13, 7 and 2) and none of the kids like Epcot. It's kind of boring. They love Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. They also like Hollywood studios but they are really into Star Wars and Indiana Jones so it appeals to their taste.

The ride Soarin' was my then 5 yo favorite ride in all of Disney. My kids also liked The Land, Spaceship Earth and the countries that have rides and the Ellen Degeneres dinosaur attraction. I think it is worth going to Epcot with a 6 yo.

My kids are 5.5 and 3.5 and they did not really care for Epcot. A lot of stuff for sale but not much else. There were a few places/things to see but overall, I'd skip it and spend another day at Magic Kingdom. We spent 3 days there, 1 at Epcot and 1 at Animal Kingdom. Wish we would have spent 4 at Magic Kingdom.

Go to Hollywood Studios over Epcot. My sons been to Epcot several times and there's only a few things that interrested him there. Like the fine perry hunt or spaceship earth. Hollywood Studos has the star tours, it has a honey I shrunk the kids playground thing, all the playhouse Disney shows. BTW my son is 6 also.

We just moved from Orlando to DFW last August so am very familiar with WDW because we did annual passes. That being said, I don't think your son would have a terrible time at Epcot but it doesn't have all the zeal that some of the other parks have. Even Spaceship Earth is a more "academic" type of ride. You are in a very slow moving tram that rides past lots of scenes while a narrarator describes to you the "evolution" of communication and technology on the earth. Pretty interesting to me, but my two little boys who were six at the time (they are 7 1/2 now) didn't really get too excited about it. Nemo is cute, very mild and has some nice aquarium features as well as the talking turtle mini-show. Soarin' is decent but usually has the longest wait of anything in Epcot so you have to FastPass that one. There is a spaceship ride where you are made to feel like you are launching but I'm pretty sure your guy would be too short for the motion sided one and would have to sit on the calmer side (which is fine by me because they spin you a hundered miles an hour it feels like LOL) One cool ride is the Fast Track...makes you feel like you are in a race car, no doubt he will love that one. Again, not the most fun of the Disney parks (just my opinion!) but if you have the park hopper then you just go and check it out and if not your cup of tea, move on to the next one! :-)

My son LOVED Epcot. It was his favorite of the parks last summer (when he was 6) and the only park he wanted to visit over and over!

I think it comes down to personality. DS is a pretty "cerebral" kid. So exhibits and investigations are more his style than character greetings (although we saw way more characters at Epcot than any other park!)

Epcot has these Perry the Platypus adventures like scavenger hunts kids can do (which gives parents a chance to enjoy the country exhibits) which my son got really into. Soarin' is also fantastic and we did that a few times in a row. We pretty much had to drag him out of the Engineering exhibits.

As someone who has been to Epcot several times, I can tell you the best year to bring a boy to Epcot is 9-13. It has a lot of science themed attractions, rides, etc. So, if they are into that, it would be enjoyable.

A 6 year old would enjoy the Magic Kingdom more. Their is more for their age group there.

Epcot is a bit more grown up.. Intellectual.

More of a sight seeing place. We did love the fireworks. really amazing.. We rode the monorail to get there and back.. 'We also noticed that there was a lot shorter line to meet the Characters, since there were less children there.

I agree about Spaceship Earth and Nemo..
