I had my tubal reversed yesterday. I had previously had Hulka Clips on them. The doctor was very pleased with the way the surgery went. He said I had really long tubes left and that it went better then he had even expected. I should have close to 9 cm left on each side. He also said that there wasn't any scar tissue at all. Has anyone else had this done and what were your results.Hoping to get pregnant soon.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I got pregnant about 4 weeks after my surgery and gave birth to a healthy baby girl in December 2007. She just turned 1 this last weekend. We are now trying to conceive one last baby.

I can tell you, I have had this procedure done...

I had my surgery Feb 05 and in Oct 06 I had my baby girl.
She just turned 2. Within a few months after giving birth to my 2 yr old, I got pregnant again.

I don't want to scare you but, that pregnancy didn't last. I had a miscarriage and haven't been able to get pregnant since then.

I myself haven't had a tubal reversal but a close friend of mine did have one a few years ago. I think the results vary based on the particular circumstances, length of time since the TL, type of TL etc. She was told that since her TL was done after a c-section when the tubes are more stretched out there was a better chance of the reversal working and it had been 9 years. She did get pregnant within about 4 months after the reversal and now has a 5 year old but was unable to concieve again a second time. She's still very happy that she was able to have at least one more though. Hope that helps some, good luck!

I have never had this procedure done, and know nothing about it, but I am still going to put my two cents in. It takes a lot of thought to have something like this reversed, so good for you. This isn't something you just do on a whim, making babies or having this procedure reversed. I don't know you and I am proud of you. I have three boys, 20,5 and 3. one step and two bio. I want another baby, but I truly feel like I haven't put enough consideration into it yet. How cool for you to want to grow your family still. My biggest piece of advice to you is not meant to be negative. But becareful to remember the beautiful children you already have, and if for whatever reason you are unsuccessful in having more children, don't allow it to effect who you are. And keep us posted so we know when to say congratulations. Oh, and congratulations 4 times over now, mama.
