Summer Bucket List?

Anyone got one?

I'm all excited about summer and having NO obligations with my four kid's ballet classes, girl scouts, school, etc. I also don't work, so this really rules:)

I wanna come up with a list of stuff to do before school is back. Anyone got a list like that?

I've got small stuff from trying out new recipes to other things like a week-long trip, and lots of fun in-between:)

Oh yes, fishing! I also have painting on my list, too:)

What can I do next?

My neighbor and I talked about this yesterday. We want to plan things to do with her kids and my grand daughter to keep them busy, out of the house and enjoy the time before its too late! We have a great kids park with water volcano and fun things. Its free. We would like to take them other places and get them running and using up some energy. Also want to see what days and times they have crafts for preschoolers, and story time at the library. We need to make a list. I want to do some fun messy thing in my back yard with them so might have to plan painting or playdough.

I do a list every spring/summer and autumn/winter. The whole family sits down and brainstorms things we'd like to do in the warm months and the cool months. I find it helps so that at the end of the season I don't feel like I've wasted a whole summer! We put everything in too- really big stuff and really small stuff. I try to make it all doable though so we're not experiencing too much disappointment.

I don't have a list but I have a plan. I told my granddaughter, who I'm watching for the summer that I'll take her to one large activity each week. This includes the Children's Museum, OMSI (a science museum) Oaks Park (an amusement park) walk along the waterfront, have lunch on a boat float. That sort of thing. Writing this makes me realize I do need to make a list and some more specific plans.

Dear Momm B.,
Its funny you asked this. I just tlaked to my daughter and came up with a list of things to do/places to visit. A fun list and an academic list. And my hubby wirks a lot but next week when we see him, he wanted to add a few thigns.
Well not quite academic list but things to be able to accomplish/learn by the end of summer like my 6 years old put "tying her shoes" on her academic list and "memorinzing more sight words" so i bought some flashcards from Target.
Our "bucket list" also includes fishing, my daughter's never been.
Going to either a minor leage or major league baseball game
trying a new fruit from the grocery store
having more than one backwards day this summer, dinner for breakfast etc.
a picnic but specifically a picnic by the water with fancy dishes and stemware(my daughter cracks me up!)
M. daughter date and go see a chick flick
Hershey park
Ride in a horse and carriage or buggy in Amish country(she saw an ad for the horse n buggy ride!) we'll see about this one.
A trip to Florida not for Disney but to visit her uncle bill and aunt nell
Good luck doing the things on your list!
Pammy
