Spray Tan?

Hi,
I am in a wedding in August and the dress is knee length and strapless and therefore shows a lot of skin (I'm very tall!) I was considering getting a spray tan prior to the wedding, but have never done it before and not sure what to expect. Is it a one-time thing, or do you need several applications? How soon before the wedding should I get it? Any good tips you can share, including places in Long Beach that you recommend will be most appreciated! Thanks!

Hi L.,
I have several friend who had the spray tan done and it looked fantastic. However, I was told that it is good to get a trial done so you know which color looks more natural on you. Also, it does fade within a few weeks.

I'm a redhead so this is right up my alley! Mystic tan us even safe if u r breastfeeding because it's a
Plant based product (that's what the company told me when I called).
I'd get a 3 tan package. Use it right away. Then you will
See your results and what you look like.
For me, 5 days after the spray was the most natural.
So I got it 5 days before my rehearsal dinnner for my own wedding.
Then, you'll have 1more tan for a fun occasion.
It is a bit orangey though, but everyone is different.
Shave first and loofah good so it stays nicely.
Also, do it before bedtime (shower before). U can't shower
Right away. Sleep indark tshirt because it will run off
A bit on sheets(it'll wash out).
my husband says it smells like rust so u won't
Get any action for at least that night... Hee hee!

My mom owns First Class Tans in Huntington Beach. They offer a spray tan. It only takes one application and you should do it a day or 2 before. It works great! You should shower 1st and exfoliate and not apply any deoderant or perfume. I would recommend calling to make an appt and asking the salon for all the detais for best results. ###-###-####. Congrats and best of luck!

Hi L.,

I did the Mystic Tan at Complexions in Seal Beach and hated it. I almost wished I hadn't done it before my wedding. I couldn't stand the way it smelled and I wasn't sure breathing that stuff in was good for you either. I felt I looked orange. I took a shower before the waiting period was up so I could wash some of it off me. It didn't cover up my tan lines either. I wouldn't recommend it right before your wedding. My suggestion is to get it done now to see if you like it. That way you're not a color you don't like in your wedding pictures. If you like it, then you can go back and get it done again before your wedding.

Good Luck!

L.,
Every tannery is different. I would suggest that you start scouting for a good salon and the price you can afford. Try it now (or in the next two weeks.) This way you get a feel for the kind of coverage you want, it still has time to fade a little and you will know how long it will last on your skin. Go back when you calculate the best result you like for your tan.
Have fun!
P.

Hi L.,

It may be a bit far for you but, there is a place in Santa Monica called Chocolate Sun. They hand spray the tan on you. It looks fantastic! Very natural. I 1st did it for my wedding 5 years ago and since go once or twice a year for special occasions. The product is organic and good for your skin and they will adjust for your skin tone and how dark you want to be. It's a little pricey, about $50 each session which is why I only use it for special occasions. Their # is ###-###-####. They have a website, too. you can google Chocolate Sun. Good Luck.

you can do it once or twice depending on how dark you want, one time should be good, I would try it this month or so before your wedding so you know what to expect, there is a place in los alamitos off katella and they are reasonable $21 per tan, just google mystic tan, and you'll love your bronzed look
