I am trying to plan ahead for when I have to go back to work in September. Does anyone attend any good day cares in the Coconut Creek/Coral Springs area? I only need someone or somewhere two days a week. I am very nervous about leaving my little one not in the care of a family member.

What can I do next?

Leaving your little one is tough and daycare can be very scary. I live in Coral Springs and my daughter goes to Parkridge Baptist Church. I love them. My husband and I are not members of the church but both grew up within the Christian faith and felt our children should have some exposure to it and when they get older, they can determine their own religious path. That being said, my daughter started at Parkridge when she was 2 and a real handful. I don't know how old your daughter is but you should check them out. They are located on the northwest corner of Coral Ridge Dr. just south of the Sawgrass Expressway.

The staff are caring, very hands on and gentle. My daughter enjoys the school and has become very loving and aware spiritually. Its kinda weird but I love the relationship her school creates between the parent and the school. They have lots of programs that keep the parents involved in their child's education which was important for me. The school has lots of weekend events like carnivals and other outdoor events which brings the community in and allows your child to see their friends outside of school. I have really come to enjoy going to my daughter's programs. I volunteer to work in her classroom when I can and I've signed her up to attend VPK in the fall. The educational component is advanced and many of the kids coming out of vpk already know much of the skills needed for kindergarten. Its just a great environment and the staff make a point of knowing who you are and what makes your child happy.

I have been so welcome at the school that I'm considering joining the church myself. Many of the teachers and staff are members of the church so I already know some of the congregation as it is. When I moved here 5 years ago, I didn't know anyone and missed my friends because they lived far away. I love Coral Springs and am glad we moved here but I was missing something...I haven't found everything I need but being a part of Parkridge even through my daughter has given me something I didn't think I'd find in a church school, a sense of community. Good luck in finding a daycare that is a special place for your daughter and provides you some peace of mind when you go to work.

i love kindercare in coconut creek. my son has been going there since he was 3 months old (he is 2 and 1/2 years now). And when you refer a friend, we both get a week off. They are a little expensive but so worth it. he colors, sings, counts to ten in english and spanish, they feed him lunch and potty train him.
Even at 3 months, tey were ableto get him to sleep through the night, they constantly play withthem and the love is great. one of the teachers (she goes to school fulltime so is no longer there) is his babysitter. they are great!

My son (2) and soon also my Daughter (11 months) attend Discovery Preschool---441 just south of Hillsboro Blvd.
They are SO great! They offer many different schedules, you can attend 2 days at different hours to fit your schedule!

Good Luck!
