Hi ladies-
My son's 2nd birthday is coming up & I'd like to get him a nice custom made (from scratch) red velvet cake for his party. I'm not asking too much, right? I need to find someone who makes cakes (not from a box) who can do this for me. I know a lady in Rochester Hills who does a fabulous job, but I'd like to find someone closer to Fenton (where we live) if I can. Anybody know of someone or are you someone who could do this? Please let me know! Thanks!

From scratch is the only way to go with red velvet and it isn't hard to make from scratch. A co-worker used to make the best red velvet cakes and I have the recipe if you would like it. I would offer to make it for you but I did not get my mom's cake decorating talent.
I saw a lady on Craigslist that does this. Search "Flint" and put in "cake"
I don't know of anyone, but michaels might be able to givevyou the name of who teaches theo cake decorating teacher. I bet she does cakes. Or maybe you could take her class and make it yourself it would be really special he will love helping and watching.
