Hello,

I am looking for a good pumpkin patch/corn maze to take my 15 month old to preferably along I-5 (north of Seattle). I want to start having family traditions and I LOVE Fall. Thanks for the input!

My 2 favorite are up in the Everett/Snohomish area. One is called Craven Farm (www.cravenfarm.com) and the other is The Farm at Swan Trails (www.thefarm1.com). We've been going to a pumpkin patch for the last few years and my kids love it - it's a really fun tradition.

Hi W.:

I really recommend the Fairbank Farm in Lynnwood/Edmonds. It's only open on the weekends in October. It's a family run farm and is small but SO CUTE. They have goats and chickens and ducks that the kids can feed, and also have baby chicks, cows, etc...and the price is really reasonable, maybe $2.50 or $3 per person (bring cash). www.fairbankfarm. is their website.

We go to Carlton Farm which is in Snohomish, kind of. You go north on I-5 then east on Hwy 2 at Everett. then get off as if you are going to Lake Stevens, but take the first left at Sunnyside Rd. It's about a mile down the road on the left. It's not that far from Seattle, about 40 minutes. They have a large pumpkin patch, corn maze, pumpkin launcher, store, petting zoo, and really good ice cream. it's a fun place. We have been taking our kids for the past 3 years.

We go to The Farm in Snohomish! It's great fun and both my boys love it. There is the pumpkin part as well as a "hay ride" that will take you out to the start of the corn maze (the state of washington!), a little petting area, a loft/hay area for the kids, a hay area to jump around in, sand, slides, trout to catch, pig races, and food (or you can bring your own, we do!). It's great and a tradition for my family as well.

I was just talking to my friend Keri, who is also a photographer about getting a play date together with a group of kids and taking pictures at an area pumpkin patch. Is this something you mamas would be interested in?
