Hi ladies, we recently just found out that my husband will be relocated back into the Annandale area. We have been in South Florida for the past 4 years and are due to go back to Northern Virginia by the middle to end of October.

I am currently 6 months pregnant with my second child and have a 2 year old. I am urgently seeking a pediatrician that works or is affiliated with Fairfax Hospital, which is were I would like to deliver.

I have currently attended a practice in South Florida called pediatric associates. They are a huge practice with offices all over South Florida. They are open 365 days 7 days a week from 7am-9pm.
I don't know if there is a practice in Norther Virginia (Annandale, Burke, Springfield) that is very similar to the one I attend.

Would any of you ladies recommend your pediatricians? I would Highly appreciated it. It is very overwhealming dealing with a move, while attending to a 2 year old and 6 (almost 7) months pregnant.

Thanks,
C.

Hi Connie,

I take my baby to Sleepy Hollow Pediatrics. It is right off Seven Corners, a straight shot from Annandale by Sleepy Hollow Road. It's been a great experience with plenty of good doctors and I can always take my baby in during an emergency. Here's there number: ###-###-####. They might not be taking new patients but if you have a newborn they'll usually accept you along with its siblings.

Good luck and welcome to the area!

I am very pleased with Pediatric Associates of Alexandria. http://pedsalex.com/officeinfo.html

They are located in Alexandria next to the Franconia Springfield metro station. They practice at both Alexandria and Fairfax hospitals.

I have to recommend Sleep Hollow Pediatrics at 7 Corners. ###-###-####. I absolutely LOVE them, and they are really close to Fairfax Inova. I have seen just about every doctor in their practice, and can't say enough good things about them. They have great office hours and great bedside manners. When my newborn was hospitalized with RSV at Fairfax Hospital, two of the doctors gave me their home numbers with instructions to call me at any hour of the night, and they also made personal visits (not just routine rounds) to check on us.

There are two new doctors in the practice, and I've seen them as well. Dr. Hsieh saw my daughter just last week, and my daughter was completely drawn to her.

Good luck with your relocation! I'm a Florida native myself!

Hi Connie,

My 3 kids goes to Dr. Staats in Burke, VA. They are a really good pediatric doctor. It's Dr. Murphy & Staats (2 doctors). 5212 Lyngate Ct, Burke, VA 22015, ###-###-####. I changed doctors after I had my 2nd child to Dr. Staats and I am really happy I did, as my kids old doctor did not take as much time. She takes the time to care for your kids and plus they have afternoons and walk-in weekend hours. They also have an allergy center inside the office and lab, so that they do not have to send you to different places just to do a couple of tests! I highly recommend this pediatric office!

Thanks, J.

I would recommend Pediatric Associates of Alexandria. They are a large practice with long hours at least 6 days a week (Mon-Sat). I was pleased with them with my 3 children and my grandson now goes there.
Another good practice (although the hours are not as long) is Reese, Balsamo, Arnoldson and Garner- located in Burke. Dr. Garner is our favorite from this group. I am a foster mom and have been pleased with the service this group provides to these babies.
Good luck with your move and the new little one!
