I LOVE Dr. Sebestyn's practice at www.obgynnorth.com. There are two MDs and 3 certified midwives and you see each one of them before deciding who you want to see for the rest of the pregnancy and birth. They have high rate of "natural" childbirth if that is something you are interested in. They are right across from St. Davids North. This is my second baby and I am much happier with this smaller, more personalized practice than the first one i used in central Austin.

I would suggest Melanie Hendricks Pagette. She is in the Wyoming Springs building right behind the St. Davids RR Hosp on 620. Her phone ###-###-####. I have BCBS as well. I met her through a personal connection and wanted to change to her immediately. When I became pregnant my existing retired, so it worked out great! I am due in 3 weeks and I have loved her and her staff! She is not overly opinionated and up with the latest things, but really listens to you and gives you what you need to make your own decisions.

I *LOVE* Dr. Cindy Mingea! She is an excellent doctor. She works exclusively at St. David's and her office is next door to St. David's at Park St. David's. I have had other medical professionals tell me that I have a very good choice in her - and I did not solicit those comments from them. She used to take Blue Cross back when I had it. My insurance changed to Aetna, and she now takes Aetna - she did not at the time my insurance changed, and I opted to pay out of network because I wanted to stay with Dr. Mingea. She is about 50 years old. I have been seeing her since around 1990. Her number is ###-###-####.

I'm 4 months pregnant and really like my OBGYN: Dr Ingrid Brown of Round Rock OBGYN http://www.roundrockobgyn.com/ She's very down to earth, warm, friendly, didn't pressure me at all to have an amnio (I'm 39). So far, it's been a great experience. She takes Blue Cross.

I used Renaissance Women's Group. They are right across the street from St. David's NMAC. All of their OB/GYNs are great.... and their group offers some really great birthing classes and baby info classes that are convenient and cheap. I'm positive they take BCBS. Good luck!

Have you looked into midwifery care? Most midwives accept insurance. And research has proven that midwives have far better outcomes with normal pregnancies than OB's do.

If you need a Ob Dr. Pevato is a great OB DR. I am not sure where he relocated, but I am sure you can look him up on line.
