Does anyone recommend any of the following daycares in the McKinney/Allen area? I found postive and negative things about all of them and just don't know which to choose. I'm concerned about my child's safety where she is at now and would like to transfer her to a new school.

Heritage Learning Center - McKinney (lowest tuition costs, but higher student/teacher ratio)
Primrose of Eldorado/Stonebridge - McKinney (lower ratio/higher cost)
Creme de la Creme - Allen (lower ratio/lots of extras/expensive)
Childrens Lighthouse - McKinney (lower ratio/higher cost)

What can I do next?

Heritage is supposed to be great! I've never heard a bad thing about them. Most of the kids I watch go there once they turn 4 to get ready for school. The kids love it. One of the moms of a kiddo I used to have knows the owner and loves her. Before I started my own daycare, I looked around for care for my kids when I was going back to school. I looked at Primrose on Virginia and decided it just wasn't worth it. It was a zoo...little rooms and kids everywhere. The "teacher" just didn't seem to know what was going on. I wasn't impressed at all. I don't have any personal experience to share though. I would go to each place and spend some time there, get a real feel for how they do things. Stop a parent going or leaving and ask how they feel about the place, any problems, concerns, etc. I have some people listed on my website who have inhome daycares if you want to take a look, it may be an option. I know that Heritage has a waiting list some of the time so if you are looking for care soon, get on the list. Everybody is looking at this time of year so it gets a little crazy. My contact info is on my website if you want to contact me directly. Hope this helps a little. www.kidsinbloom.blogspot.com

Our son goes to Primrose on Eldorado too, and we couldn't be happier either! He's 3 1/2 and has been going there for over a year. It is more expensive, but it's totally worth it! We originally enrolled him at Kids R Kids, but pulled him out after 2 weeks. It was (somewhat) cheap ($145/week), but it was just aweful!!! I definitely recommend taking a tour at Primrose and see how great it is! Hope this helps! :) Feel free to PM me with any other questions or info on tuition costs. :)

We have our 18 month old daughter at Primrose of Stonebridge (on Eldorado) and we love them, they are worth every single penny. They are a little more expensive but I could not ask for more. We have had her there since she was about 6 months old. We originally had her at Children's Lighthouse on Eldorado and it was AWFUL! I had Isabelle there for about 2 months and then pulled her out for multiple reasons. (one being she was always getting the roto virus which can easily be prevented by cleanliness)

I highly recommend Primrose, Mr. Gatis (the director) is wonderful and so are all of the teachers. They are a little more strict as far as rules are concerned but for very good reasons, it is a well oiled machine. They call you if any "incidents" occur, they taught my daughter sign language, they sing, have splash days, sometimes bring in bounce houses and snowcones, and much more. If you have any questions please let me know.
