Call your doc. Failing that (xmas weekend and all.. but most OBs have the office at least skeleton staffed)... call the 24/7 nurse advice hotline. They'll be able to run through your symptoms, ask questions, and let you know whether you can wait it out and treat at home (and what treatments would be)), should schedule an appt, or should go straight to the ER.

In my opinion no.... my son's placenta detached at 7 1/2 months and I went into this "nesting" mode you sometimes hear about for about 24 hours, then couldn't sleep at night. In the morning my water broke but it was dark blood. I was feeling the same things you are referring to for at least 24 hours prior to being aware that something was wrong - I literally could not stand upright for most of that time period. Also, that night my baby would not stop actively moving all the time. I am not saying anything is wrong with you or your baby, however, it is better to be safe than sorry so go and see your doctor asap (or to an emergency room for safety). BTW, my son and I were both fine in the end, as only part of the placenta detached and was bleeding. We were both blessed.

Call your doctor.
Any new symptoms should be mentioned.
I'm very small framed so I had all kinds of weird cramps and twinges and I just made sure my doctor knew everything that was happening with me. Never hesitated. They can't help or comfort you over things they aren't aware of.
In my case, everything was actually normal for me, although none the less uncomfortable.
Our bodies go through so many changes.
We have muscles and tendons that stretch and pressure gets put on our backs as our babies get bigger.
Take care of yourself and be sure to check with your doc.

Best wishes.

You should probably call your doctor and let them know so they can advise you, since we don't know your history. I never experienced anything like what you describe... only pressure in my lower abdomen, especially when walking, and later like at 33 or 34 weeks probably. Good luck to you!

I had a lot of various pains (including intense and sharp ones) in my pregnancy during the last trimester. Since it was my 2nd baby, the docs all said it was just normal. But...you should definitely call your doctor. You might benefit from seeing a chiropractor to help relieve the pressure. I know that seeing a chiropractor that specialized in pregnancy really helped relieved a variety of pelvic pains. But ruling out somethings serious is certainly a smart thing to do.

I had the vaginal pressure really bad towards the end of my pregnancy.. dr said that it was just the babies head pushing down.. if it worries you give your doc a call tho.. that's what they're there for :)
