I have been feeling really weird latly. [I recently found a doctor so I will discuss this with him as well!] But I have been continuesly nausouse. It wont go away, along aside with it I have been dizzy. I also get head aches that tylenol wont cure, and it almost feels like a migrane. Also my legs hurts so bad, not just in the muscle area but also in my ankles, knees, and hips. My hips cramp up if I move to fast and my calves will cramp up whenever I lay down. Besides the pressure I feel on my pelvic bone I feel the sharp pain once in awhile. [In the middle of my area] This is embarrrising but I have been feeling rectum pain as well.

I also have been very itchy [mainly my stomach and feet] also my stomch will cramp up once in awhile as well.

Ontop of all this my lower, middle, back have been hurting and also my spine and my right shoulder.

This has been going on for the past 3 days.

Also I was diagnosed with the pnmonia in the very beginning of this month, I got medication and within a few days it went away!

But 3 days ago I wook up feeling like I couldn't breath.

My husband has been taking care of me AND making me feel better but everything will come back [He runs me a hot bath, such a sweetheart :)]

I dont know if I should go to the hospital considering I have been there so many in the past few months worried about something and then it turns out to be 'normal'

also when the baby moves....it HURTS. Sometimes I think I am more far along then 33 weeks.

Please give me some advice!

Thank you

So What Happened?

Thank you all very much, and yes I did end up going to the emergancy room....to once again find out it was all normal and all of the test they did came out negative.
:)

The nurse explained to me that I just have sever normal pregnancy symptoms. And I just have it bad, she said she has seen some women with little to no symptoms...and other woman [like me] who tend to 'suffer' through out the whole day.

But she assured me that not only am I...but also the baby is okay.

Ontop of alll that she thinks that I am a little bit further along then 33 weeks but she is going to tell my
new doctor [OBGYN] to take a peek inside and so how mature my baby has developed.

Ex: Its lungs. Since I am 33 weeks his lungs shouldnt be completly developed, but if they are they are going to change my due date.

Thank you all very much, and I didnt know about the Hot baths being dangerous. So I'll get a massage instead.

And the counter pressure really helped.

Thanks all again!!!
:)

You mentioned in the "what happened" that you want to get a massage. BE CAREFUL! If the massuse doesn't know how to give a "pregnancy massage" you can go into labor. That's what happened to me w/ my 2nd. Got a rub down and that night was at the hospital with contractions. BE CAREFUL!

Meredith wrote that it could be signs of preeclampsia and you should see your doctor now. I mention this because I was only going to write about the joys of my own pregnancy pain (which I had a lot of - almost constant pain) and not to worry so much. Then I remembered I was admitted twice, but on bed rest, and diagnosed with preeclampsia. That said, go see your doctor. Not to scare you, but there are so many things that can go wrong for you and baby, it is always better to be safe rather than sorry.

Good-luck

Sunshine...Ive heard in pregnancy if you aren't getting enough calcium your legs will cramp more. In addition...getting dizzy is somewhat normal in pregnancy and is usually a sign of low blood sugar or can be do to your blood pressure (def get that checked). The pressure in your pelvis is completely normal in pregnancy...I had it with my boys ALOT...in fact at the end it was so incredibly hard to sleep and get out of bed because it just ached. If you are concerned about your back you could see a chiropractor that specializes in prenatal care...Ive heard they work wonders! The itching could be from the medication or it could be from your skin stretching. Make sure you put some high quality lotions or oils on your body a couple times a day and that should help especially if you are very petite to begin with...there isn't a lot of room for the baby. The cramping in your stomach is probably a contraction...it makes your stomach hard as a rock and they can be very uncomfortable. Make sure you are staying VERY hydrated and relieving your bladder in a timely manner...both being dehydrated or having your bladder too full will cause contractions. Is that everything? Feel free to message me if you want to chat or have any questions...most all your symptoms sound like normal pregnancy to me...in my opinion being pregnant is just not any fun.

Like the other moms, I just wanted to tell you that it all sounds normal. This is the kind of stuff they don't show you on TV and mom's just don't share with you unless you are super close friends. You are feeling itchy because your skin is stretching so much. Try to put lotion on at least twice a day to help relieve that. As the baby get bigger, it does become harder to breathe. I too had the pelvic pain, leg pain and back pain. Sometimes the baby sits on a nerve and creates terrible pressure. It is important to lay on your left side, relax and drink LOTS of water. You can go into labor early if you don't drink enough water. With that said, you do need to verify all of this with a doctor. I can only tell you what I have read and experienced myself. I always say it is better to be safe than sorry. Use your intuition and if you feel like something is wrong - go to the hospital. If you are just super uncomfortable, but feel safe then wait for your doctor appointment. You do need to get examined sooner rather than later. Welcome to motherhood, it is not easy, but sure is worth it!

Wow, those sound like a lot of different potentially serious symptoms! I would run, not walk into your OBGYN and tell him everything. the itching could be a reaction to the meds you have been given and could be very serious (first phase in a shock reaction). You also need to check your nutritional status, and find out how far along you really are. Are you getting routine pre-natal care?

I'm confused. . . Are you pregnant? If so all of that is normal. You should have a dr though especially if youre pregnant. I threw up at least two times a day for my whole pregnancy had mucsle aches and it the pelvic pain was the worse starting at six months and till delivery and even after. You shouldn't be taking medicine or a hot bath if Youre pregnant its very bad for the baby.

Hey Momma! I just want to reassure you like the other moms that this all sounds pretty normal. The closer you get to your due date, the more uncomfortable to downright painful it gets. I do also think you should talk to your dr about all of it though, he/she can help put your mind at ease. Many of us have gone in for things that turn out to be nothing, they're used to it. Also I would watch the hot baths too. It's the same reason they tell you not to go in a hot tub when your pregnant, the baby's temp gets raised & that's BAD BAD. I suggest like the other moms to rest as much as possible, eat small meals often, & drink lots of water. Even for those that have a pretty easy pregnancy, the last weeks suck. Just keep telling yourself- I'm almost there, I'm almost there- & take it one day at a time

All of this is completely normal. It's generally worse with your first baby, because your body has never done this before. The pain you feel when the baby moves is because those uterine muscles are being stretched in ways they never have before. It will get better, honest! Everything else is cramping up because youer body's balance has been seriously altered. The nausea is awful - with my first, I was so worried that the baby would be malnourished because I was throwing up so much, but she was fine. :) You might feel like you have continual trouble breathing, but that's because all your organs are shifting and things will get pretty crowded. Use a lot of lotion for the itch, drink a lot of water, juice and broth if you can, and relax! :)

Sounds like you are have labor symptoms. My legs we my pain the whole time. That was where I felt my contrations my legs hurt and ached so bad I could lay still. I would go to the doctor and who care if you've been a lot recently, better to be safe the sorry... If you have any questions even after the baby is born I was your age when I had my son and my husband was your husbands age hahah so I know how it feels to be a young couple with a new born!!! Take care and if possible rest as much as possible! Good luck and remember when the labor does start to TRY to focus on something else pick something in the room and focus on that. Easier said then done but it helps.

You need to go to your OB NOW. Everything could be just fine, but you could also be very sick. Honestly, it sounds like you have symptoms of HELLP syndrome...which is a complication of preeclampsia. I had it with my second pregnancy and almost died...becuase I got it at 24 weeks, I lost my babies, but you are far enough along, that your baby may be fine. I really don't want to scare you, but you need to see your doctor immediately. If they can't get you in, go to labor and delivery at your hospital.

Good luck. Please, take me seriously...this could be really important!!!! Especially mention the right shoulder pain...it could be pain radiating from your liver like I had.

Ha! I was reading this and thinking.."she sounds pregnant to me...." and then you said you ARE pregnant. These are all symptoms I had when I was pregnant (both times) and it is weird and painful and annoying and worrysome, but it is normal. I remember waking up three different times because I had either stopped breathing or couldn't catch my breath. It is just all weird things are body does in reaction to the baby. It must change and move and accomodate the baby, and that is painful, even in areas that don't make since. Also, because you are worried about the baby and all these "new symptoms" you are going to be on high alert for any and all pain and discomfort, even ones that normally you would just ignore. Try to relax and breathe and just know your body is strong enough to handle this, as it has for millions of women thru the ages. Good luck!

I think you need to be in an emergency room or your labor and delivery department right now. They will check your blood and ultrasound the baby to make sure you and the baby are doing okay. There is no reason to suffer through all of these symptoms....you owe it to yourself and your baby to check it out. Better safe than sorry. Please keep us posted. Make sure you are staying hydrated as simple dehydration can cause a lot of your symptoms. You need to have your blood pressure checked too. You could have a very dangerous thing called preeclampsia and it's treatable if you hurry before you have seizures. It is fatal to the mother and baby if left untreated. You really need to take care of yourself and not figure "it's nothing" be certain about that and go see your doctor or go to the emergency room right now.

You are close to delivery and our joints do loosen up the closer you get to delivery so that our body can stretch. I too had the pain in the vaginal and rectal area. Felt like someone was punching me if that relates to how you feel at all. When hormones jump around a migraine is possible. It's one of the two reasons I get them... that and if I don't sleep enough. You are close to the end, but if it helps you feel more at ease then please get to your doctor or urgent care to be checked out. Delivery dates are only an educated guess based on the size of the baby or your last period. They are NOT fool-proof so you could be right.
Be careful with the hot baths. I know they probably feel wonderful, but if you raise your body temp too much then you are also increasing the temp in your uterus... thereby heating up your lil one.

i had a friend that was like that with her son. come to find out by her new dr who induced her and examined the baby and her placenta etc. she was a MONTH overdue. her old dr wanted her to wait 4 weeks before she could be induced. i would get evaluated asap by your new dr (which i assume your trying to do). if you are very slim then you may more pain when the baby moves as you get closer to your due date. when your old dr measured you did yo measure according to the month you were in or were you smaller/bigger? your leg pain could be siatica from the babies head compressing the nerves in your lower back and tailbone. i had this problem with my daughter and got relief from putting a pillow under the top of my butt. the difficulty breathing could be the baby pushing on your lungs which is common this late in pregnancy. dont feel bad about contemplating going to the hospital even if its for piece of mind. i did pregnant with my daughter too.
oh and also a great thing for back pressure is get on your hands and knees and have your hubby place his palm inbetween your hips and press. the counter pressure is great. also another helpful thing is while on your hands and knees and have your hubby squeeze your hips together just under your hip bones. if it hurts have him try another spot.

You are pregnant... this is what happens and what a woman feels like when they are pregnant... especially as you get farther along. It's common, I had all those symptoms too....
PLUS my asthma got worse when I was pregnant with my son... I could not breathe and had such a hard time moving around.

Its good to rest when you feel out of breath or tired or dizzy... just lay down.

Drink lots of water... to curb contractions or "Braxton Hicks" contractions- which is what you are feeling- this is why your tummy gets "cramps" and it will feel hard.

The aches and pains you feel is your body adjusting to pregnancy... the ligaments and muscles get looser... and even the joints. The sharp pains can also be due to your baby moving/kicking in your tummy... and yes, I had cramps too, especially at night, with both my pregnancies. This is also common.

YOU NEED to call and ask your Doctor... and just check with him/her.

Try sleeping on your left side... this is supposed to alleviate some of the pain/breathing discomfort when you are pregnant... this is what I did too.

But remember, for any questions/pain/discomfort you have, just check with your Doctor, just to make sure....

All the best,
Susan

Its always a wise decision to go to the doctor's office and get checked out as soon as possible especially when you have new, yet painful symptoms. I think you should at least call and talk to a nurse at your clinic and explain your symptoms- they can give you immediate advice over the phone and/or notify your doctor and have you get medical attention asap!
Hopefully, it is just prelabor symptoms (I wouldn't know yet)
Wishing you well,
KZ

And such are the joys of pregnancy!!
The nausea and dizziness are very likely due to fluctuating blood sugar levels. I had frequent bouts with this during both of my pregnancies. All you can really do for that is to eat frequently and make sure you're balancing your carb intake with proteins.
The other aches and cramps I'm sure are a result of add weight and pressure of a growing baby. That sharp pelvic pain is something I know very well too. I even took a trip to the ER while pregnant with my first because it had gotten so bad that I could hardly move my right leg without getting the sharp, shooting pains. Come to find out it was a pulled ligament -again, caused by a growing baby.
With my last pregnancy I ended up in the hospital again due to breathing problems. It was so bad that my husband woke me up when I was sleeping to see if I was ok because I was breathing so fast. Later that day I went back into the ER and they put me on oxygen and did a CT scan of my lungs to rule out problems. The oxygen helped control my breathing and I was told that the only thing that could really help me was to have the baby. She was just big and I was carrying really high. So much so that she was pushing on my diaphragm and against my lungs.
Now, with it hurting when the baby moves.... well, it's getting bigger and running out of room. Does it hurt as much as it's just extremely uncomfortable? I mean, they do get some really good jabs to the ribs and pelvis that in no way feel good.

I know you don't want to hear it but it all sounds "normal" to me too. In fact, before I got to the part of your question where you actually said you are pregnant, the first thing I thought was sounds like she's pregnant. I do feel your pain because I've been there too and I'm not one of those people who find pregnancy to be sunshine and roses. Just hang in there, you're in the home stretch.

Have you had any prenatal care????

I urge you to get an appointment immediately and discuss all your symptoms and concerns with an obstetrician. He or she is the one to evaluate you and your baby's health, and give you advice. Please promise us that you will get in to the doctor as soon as you can get an appointment.

Drink more water, rest on your left side, never HOT baths, but mild warm should be okay, try a pregnancy yoga video for a little stretch in the muscles and joints, should help. You are almost done! You are feeling more than a lot of women do, because you are young, and probably "in tune" with your body. Nothing wrong, just breath and it will all be over SOON. (remember that in labor too;)

Most of your symptoms sound typical during pregnancy. That being said, do you have any pregnancy books or are you seeing a Dr. on a regular basis? I highly recommend The Pregnancy Book by Dr. Sears or What to Expect When You are Expecting may be helpful. Either way, at the least, talk to your regular OBGYN. I'm sure he or she will put your
mind at ease.

*Sorry, I just re-read your post and see you just found a new Dr. Can we assume you've been seeing a Dr. all along and are just switching? Either way, discuss all your concerns with him/her right away.

Best wishes,
M.
