Hi,
I want to get my 21m daughter's ears pierced. Anyone have referrals to someone that is good and does both at the same time? I'd also like to have a variety of beginner studs for her? I'm in the Clinton Twp area... Thanks.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, we took the plunge and went to Patridge Creek... Claires and had them done on Sunday. They marked her ears and using two gals did them at the same time. She cried all of a few seconds.... until they gave her a sucker. That helped! I got white gold cz's. Love them... no problems1

You can do it yourself. Sally's sells the a plastic gun with earings in them and they have an ok selection. You wipe the ear with alchol both than put a dot on the area you want to pierce put the earing there and do it. It will cost you 8 dollars. Or you could go to your pediatrician. Mine did my kids before I knew I could go to sallys. and do it myself.

Call your daughters dr's office sometimes they do it, I had my daughters done when she was 9mths old. The dr's office did it, not each ear at the same time but she cried for maybe 2 seconds and was fine. She is 3 now and we have never had an issue!

My daughter was 5 years old when we got her ears 1st pierced. We cleaned them daily with the special cleaner. We kept the beginners in for 3 months and when she switched to regular earrings...boom infection and they closed up. We had them re-pierced and kept them in for 6 straight months, cleaning regularly, with titanium studs this time, and soon as she switched to regular earrings they got immediately infected & one of them closed up again. When she was 7, we got the one pierced again, this time I spent $40 on gold earrings and have kept them in for a year straight. Finally, they have healed and are in great shape. Anyway, I would recommend the gold studs, if you can, and keep them in for a while. I never expected ear piercing to be so challenging! Good luck!

Hello,
I basically asked the same question around Christmas time, but my daughter was 6 months. Im not sure what area you live in but we ended up going to the Icing in Lakeside Mall, I was scared to have it done at the mall (her Dr. does not do them) I thought it would be dirty or something, but honestly, I could not be happier!! They have a bunch of earings to chose from, They took time to explain everything, had a huge safety and cleanliness(sp) checklist cleaned the whole area were very knowledgeable too! The lady told me that they only did one at a time for younger kids because they have a hard time holding there head still, and the holes can be off, which i understand, so she did one at a time and I thought it was going to be terrbile, she was so fast, and my Daughter did cry for less than a min. after that she was fine!! And the earings look great!

Good luck!
