Non-plastic Pillow Protector

I have a shopping question more than anything else. My little one has the flu, and we are on the third pillow because she keeps thowing up on them. I realized that a pillow protector would be a lot easier, but I don't want to put a plastic one on because they are so uncomfortable and sweaty. Do any of you know of a nonplastic one I could buy? I have the bed pad and those are great. I appreciate the help in advance.

What can I do next?

When my kids have throw-up illnesses... I use a Puppy pad.
Ya know, the one's that pets use to pee/potty on.
Because it soaks up fluids and does not leak. And you just buy them from the grocery store.

I put it OVER their pillow, and around their bed and under them.
And I keep a trash can near them (within arm's reach) , and they will RUSH to it and lean their head over it, then throw-up.
It is easy, using a Puppy Pad for illnesses like this.
Better than ruining bedding or towels.

I just use waterproof covers under my fitted sheet and pillow cases, and I haven't noticed any sweat problems.

When my kids get to puking, I put a regular pillow protector on, then (not over exaggerating), like 6 or 7 regular pillow cases on top, so if they get puked on, I can strip one or two off without shuffling for a new one. When I run out of pillow cases, I'll use old baby blankets or towels and lay them on top until I can do the laundry. Hope your little one feels better!! :)

Check this link out---We have one of these for our mattress and I love it---well worth the price. I have never tried the pillow protector but you can look and decide for you self. http://www.lunamattress.com/Luna-Waterproof-Pillow-Protec...
