We are expecting our 3rd child in December. We have only lived here a couple of months. I am a little nervous about finding a new doctor and having a baby in a hospital that I am not familiar with. I need to find a doctor who can help ease my worries. Thanks so much.

I have heard really good things about Dr. Dicke (?spelling) in Arlington and from the same group Dr. Jeffers (I used to see before we moved out of state and then came back to Grapevine)-I really liked him.
I moved back here from Minnesota while I was pregnant with my 2nd, so I know how you feel...Good Luck!

I go to Dr. Stephen Farmer, in Bedford. He and his staff are friendly, honest and listen to what you think you need. His nurses are all top rank (since you deal with them more then the doctor, I find that important) and really care about you. When I've called with concerns they've always had an ear to lend and friendly, helpful advice to offer.

Hi,

I had my baby at a birthing center in Grand Prairie (I didn't really want to be in a hospital). If you are interested, I will give you the details, but if you want an OB/GYN, I was seeing Dr. Hoffman in Las Colinas, and I concur with the previous poster that he is great. He is very supportive and even supported my decision to birth in a center (although he doesn't attend birthing center births... so, in essence he was losing a "sale" so to speak, but was very supportive anyway). I would highly recommend him and his staff. They are always pleasant, remember you and your specifics and are prompt. Plus, their billing manager helped me sort out all the insurance stuff when I transferred to the birthing center. I would see him again for any of my ob/gyn needs.

Depending on where you are in Grand Prairie, it would not take you that long to get there and I could give you some help with the fastest routes for various times of day (I live in Irving very near his office).

Good Luck in your search and welcome to the area! :-)

I have been going to the same doctor for the last 18 years. He is awesome and I would HIGHLY recommend him without any hesitation at all. He is in Arlington at I-20 and Matlock. His name is Dr. Gary Donovitz. The phone number is ###-###-####. I am having my first child (due June 1) and I feel at ease because he will be delivering. The nurses are awesome as well. Very helpful and very kind. He is the only doctor in the office and I like that, too. Hope this helps!

I actually just told this to another mom. I had my 3rd child 6 months ago... I had him in the Las Colinas Medical Center Hospital. VERY nice hospital... big spacious room... friendly staff... very secure.

My OB/GYN was Dr. Steven Hoffman. On the same block as the hospital. VERY nice doctor. Always has time to talk to you and discuss your concerns and stuff. Plus, he is a great cheerleader during birth! I highly recommend him. His number is ###-###-####.

I wish you luck!!! :o)

Hi! I live in Arlington, and am due at the end of June. I am delivering at Arlington Memorial (its newly renovated, and very nice). My OBgyn is Dr. Sharma at Arlington OBGyn. There's another doctor in the practice, Dr. Moseley. Both are very nice. I like the small group, i only have to get to know two docs!

There's also another hospital in Arlington that is almost new inside. I'm not sure if they deviver, but i'm sure you can look up info on the internet.

Hope that helps!
Good Luck on your search!!

I would recommend Dr. Hyslop in Dallas at Medical City of Dallas. I live in Grand Prairie too, and I drive out to go to him. He is wonderful and will take very good care of you.

Dr Ignacio Nunez is in Arlington. He has been my ob/gyn for 10 years and is FABULOUS!!! He's very direct and explains everything (from all aspects - even stuff you may not want to hear). I had a high risk pregnancy and he took GREAT care of both of us! We had a preemie girl - born 9.5 weeks early and Dr Nunez monitored us closely and made all the right calls - never putting her or me at unneccesary risk.

I delivered at Arlington Memorial Hospital and the staff there (and in the NICU) were courteous, patient and extremely knowledgeable.

Good Luck!

If you are willing to go to Fort Worth, Harris Methodist is the best. I would not recomend Arlington Memorial all my co-workers had horrible experiences. Dr. Robbins in FW is fabulous!
