Meat Markets in Plano

Hirsch's Meat Market in Plano is great. They're at Parker & Alma, and their site is http://www.hirschsmeats.com/. If you sign up for their email updates from their site, you'll find out their specials and also get coupons. This was recommended to me from a friend who has lived here forever and grew up in Plano. They're great about doing custom cuts.

The meat market we go to is David's Meat Market on Jupiter in Richardson. It is worth the drive. It is more reasonable then the supemarket and the meat is much much better! When my family comes in from Baltimore they alway ask if we are going to have the great steaks from Davids! If you try it once you'll never want to go anywhere else.

I have done business with Gary and Nancy since they opened the market. They absolutely have the best quality products.

Beef: You have a choice of Prime Grade or Choice Grade. The steaks you buy there are from the same sources where the top quality Steak houses purchase. You get a Del Frisco, III Forks, Ruth Chris quality steak. You get what you pay for....they are not cheap but if you ever have one, you will not ever buy from a grocery chain again. Although, We have purchased a good steak at Market Street. I buy the ground round and ground chuck, roasts, everything.

Pork: They make fresh sausages that are to die for. I believe they supply Fireside Pies in Plano with their sausages. We love the Hot Italian, but he has a good selection. The thick Iowa cut pork chops are great. Pork Loin, again....everything. I use the pork loin for city chicken and it is great.

Chicken: FRESH chicken. You can't go wrong.

He also has fresh seafood. My family is not that fond of seafood so I do not purchase seafood. We are a strong beef, pork and chicken family.

He does have a freezer with quail, buffalo, vension. Premade burgers (so easy).

You can order freezer packs, special aged steaks and I believe he has Kobe steaks as well.

I go about once every 2 months and spend about $250 to keep my freezer stocked.

It is WELL worth the money.

Also, sign up on his website for specials. He has special coupons you print for the special of week and you can get some good deals....Example....a $13.99/lb t-bone for $7.99/lb, 5lb bags of chicken, etc. I get his email about every 2 weeks iwith a coupon. You must take the coupon into the store and present when ordering.

If you go, tell him Susan sent you.... I have sent a LOT of people there and no one regrets it.

I know there is the "Ye OLE Butcher shop" in East Plano
Hirch's Meats is great as well...those are the only ones i know for sure about, but i know that Frisco Farmer's market (not open right now) had some organic meat places that met there on Saturdays between April and August maybe???

Hirsch's Meat Market on Parker - prime and choice meat so a little more expensive but a great butcher shop.
or you can order from burgundypasturebeef.com - more expensive because its grass fed beef - but it is delicious!

The Best and I mean Best meat market you are going to find in Plano is Hirsh's Specialty Meats and Sausage located at 1301 W Parker Road, Ste 100, Plano, TX 75023 Their phone number is ###-###-####. It is the cleanest meat market you will ever find and the meat is to die for. They are at Alma and Parker Road. Check them out and see for yourself. I have no doubt you will return over and over again :) The prices are not to high for any budget..it is just far better meat. I hope you go check them out.

Hirsch's Specialty Meats is the absolute best!! It's located on the north side of Parker Road, just west of Alma. Gary Hirsch has been in the meat business for many years. His store is immaculate and he is extremely passionate about bringing the best quality and price to his customers. He will personally tell you about everything in the store if you need help. They carry a wide assortment of meats...beef, chicken, fish, wild game, etc. If you want something that he doesn't have, he will get it. He custom makes his own sausage...in many varieties and has hard-to-find meats as well. People travel from all over the metroplex to buy meat at Hirsch's.
