Looking for Pediatric Dentist in Cupertino Area

I need to find a dentist for my 3 year old son. I'm looking for one that is good with kids and will put my nervous son at ease. I don't want his first experience with a dentist to be traumatic (like mine was). Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

Dr. Natalie Vander Kam
10393 Torre ave. Ste L
Cupertino, 95014

I love her and my two year old loves her. that is saying a lot for a two year old that has had to have work done.

They use flavored gloves, they have videos playing, parents are welcome back, they send a special book for their first visit that is personalized with their name, it is decorated like finding nemo, they have a prise drawer, and they are not pushy or locked to in the box thinking. They try to mke it a great experiance for all who come in.

We are very impressed with Dr. Natalie Vanderkam. Here's a link with more information about her.

We've taken my son Conor to her for two years, he'll be 4 in a week. Conor loves going to the office because it has neat games and toys, lots of Nemo themed stuff. The whole office is really geared to children. He is terrified of sitting in the chair so she works around it. They don't pressure the kids, they show them everything in advance, do the exam on a Nemo with teeth first, they're great about talking to the children. At the second visit (age 2.5 I think) Dr. Natalie told Conor his pacifier was starting to impact his teeth and he should give it up "soon". When he finally did this, (almost a year later) he telephoned her at the office and she was busy but her receptionist made a big fuss over him and a few days later, he received a lovely hand written card from her congratulating him. He has had his teeth cleaned twice now, and loves choosing from flavors like chocolate, smores, can't remember what else. They are great. Feel free to ask me questions.

We live in Campbell and drive to San Francisco to Dr. Bergen James. She's really great. Yes, far away, but never an issue going to see her.EVER!

She has a schnauzer that stays in the office and hops up on the child's chair to take a picture. . .if your child would like to do that. Otherwise, it sleeps a lot.

They like the Treasure Chest after the visit and the movie during the visit.

Anyway, she's on Park Ave./California.

Dr. James Kelley at 731 Altos Oaks Drive in Los Altos. ###-###-####. Also works with children with disabilities and is just wonderful with them all. Has done pro bono work and treats everyone as if they were the only patient he has and remembers everything about the kids. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

We see Dr. James Kelly on Altos Oak Drive in Los Altos. ###-###-####) It's pretty close to the Cupertino border.

He's really great with the kids. There's a tv screen with a movie playing over every chair which is great to distract them. And they love that they get to pick out a toy as they leave.

I recommend Dr. Vernon Adams in Palo Alto -- He's near Stanford Hospital so its easy to get to from HW 280

750 Welch Road Suit 102
Palo Alto, CA 94304

My daughter loves watching the DVDs or playing the video games on the ceiling. The whole staff is wonderful with children. They also work with a lot of children with special needs.

Dr. Louis Prusa off of DeAnza. I have been going to him since I was a kid (but I am fairly young so he's not an old fogie ;)) His wife works in the office too and they have young three kids. I have been to other dentists over the years due to moves etc, but always end up coming back to him no matter how far I have to drive.
I just realized I should write a review for them on yelp. maybe I will do that later today. Looks like they already have other people who think they are 5 star worthy.
