We like Dr. Vernon Adams in Palo Alto. He's a pediatric dentist -- the office is very well set up for children! (650) 321 - 6448
I see someone else recommended Dr. Sam Summido on Welch Road. He's in the same office as Dr. Adams, so he would probably be good, too. They have movies and games on the ceiling, toy chest, etc.

Dr. Nick Gorgani
Pediatric Dentistry of Los Altos
731 Altos Oaks Dr, Los Altos, CA 94024

Easy to spot on Altos Oaks, it has a big totem pole out front. My son had a fear of dentists. With previous dentists, no one was ever able to do more than glance at his teeth. My son was pretty calm with Dr. Nick and let him examine his teeth. After going there a while, they were able to clean his teeth and even x-ray them.

There are tv screens above each dental chair and a treasure box to choose from afterward.

Hi--
I've been taking my 6 year old to Dr. Lori Doran in Palo Alto (near the University Avenue area) for 3 years now. Dr. Lori is great. We found her through a friend, whose family has used her for years. Very kid friendly office and dentist. We referred another friend there, and they see her partner, Dr. Nick, and think he's great, too. You can call them at ###-###-####.
Good luck!

We see Dr. James Kelly at the same pediactric dentistry practice on Altos Oaks (with the totem pole) that you've already been told about. He's very nice and works really well with the kids.

HI!

I took my son to Dr. Vernon Adams, 750 Welch Rod, Suite 102, Palo Alto, CA ###-###-#### beginning when he was 2. He is 3.5 now. He LOVES Dr. Adams. He lets him check all his teeth, clean them, and even floss all of them. He is not that patient when I try to do this.

Very kid friendly, DVDs on the ceiling to watch in the chair, prizes at the end of the visit, a personalized book given to the patient prior to the visit.

Hope this helps.

Hi S.,

I just took my 20 month old today for his second check up with Dr. Brian Quo. Each visit has been wonderful for both my son and I. The office and rooms are decorated in different themes and are all beautiful. He has flat screens mounted to the ceilings so if your child is getting work done they can be distracted by the "cars" movie, etc. He's patient, explains things, and discusses concerns you may or may not have. He keeps a calmness about him over a crying child. He’s nothing short than awesome. Again, the office is just too cute and very inviting for children!!

Maria Aganon Fu (Dr. Maria) is in Mountain View near El Camino Hospital. My four year old had major dental work done, and all things considered, it was a great experience. It's a wonderful office with very kid friendly atmosphere, and Dr. Maria is great. The only major drawback is that they will charge you for all services and only refund you once they have received the money from insurance. This may not be true for a few specific plans, but even with three different dental plans, I have not been in that category.

Dr. James Kelley at 731 Altos Oaks Drive in Los Altos, CA 94024. Phone: 1-###-###-####. He is wonderful and so is his staff. He loves kids and treats each kid and each parent as if they were the only one in the office. He works with any kid, autistic, Down's, or whatever and is a real giver. We love him to death and I have never heard anyone that did not love this guy. He may not have any openings as he is in so much demand, but it is worth a try. If you go, tell him Lisa Wilson recommended you. She is my daugter who is Down Syndrome and Dr. Kelley said she could come to him her whole life because she is his best patient.

Hi S.!
I have used Pediatric Dentistry of Los Altos since my two boys
(Isaac-6) and (Tobiah-8)needed their first cleanings. The staff is wonderful and James S. Kelly, D.M.D. is awesome. ###-###-####. They have lots of bells and whistles which make the whole process for the children fun. When you set up the appointment they will send a book to your child in the mail that introduces the office to the child and all that will take place at the office. A very fun book. They will take a photo at the first visit and there is a spot in the book for the picture. Once your child is in the office the hygeniest will go over all of the equipment and will let your child know what is going on or what they will be doing before they even start. Any questions they answer and if your child wants to see how Mister Thirsty works they will show him or her...the device that sucks up the water and saliva in the mouth as they work on your child. (t.v. screens on the ceiling so they can watch a video during the visit (headphones to listen as well), stickers, pencils, a toy once the visit is over and the child gets to choose for themselves
lots of fun decorations all over the room. I have been completely satisfied and my children always leave happy.
