Hello everyone, my daughters first birthday is coming up. Were having her party on the 30th of August. Im looking for a bakery that will be able to bake her cake. I want to get her a 3D cake that looks like a cupcake. Ive been to Sugarhill and to Riverside bakeries. Neither can do it. If you now of an awesome bakery please let me know! Thank you!!

Hello. I am not sure if Sauer's Bakery in Algonquin does 3D cakes but it is a awesome bakery! They are located right on Randall Road near County Line Road in a strip mall.

They also have a location in Carol Stream.

Good luck :-)

My friends parents own Rollin Donut in Elgin and they make cakes. Its on 25 just south of 90. I've had the cakes they make and they are good! They made a very elaborate wedding cake so I'm sure they could do something for you!

Don't know how you are at baking??? But I saw a Wilton pan for this type of cake at Jo-Ann fabrics. It's fun to do, I've made several of my own kids cakes! Good Luck

I just celebrated my daughter's first birthday as well. I bought a cupcake cake pan from target online

search for wilton cupcake pan at www.target.com

It was so simple to make and looked adorable. I'd be happy to send you pics of the final product if you want. My email is ____@____.com

The pan uses one box of cake mix and splits it between the two sides. The top and bottom together look just like a giant cupcake. I frosted the bottom with chocolate and the top with confetti store bought frosting. It was a hit with everyone at the party. Then, I bought cupcakes from our local market for the guests of the party. I didn't have to cut a cake and serve it- it was wonderful!

Good luck!
