I would like to start off by saying Happy New Year Ladies!!

I am looking for part time work. It is time for me to return to work, I would like to get ahead financially. I have tried searching some of the most popular web sights; however, I am not happy with what's out there and I am not interested in child care or sales. Does any one have any suggestions.

What can I do next?

I am in a similar situation! One area I have been trying is www.craigslist.com If you go to this site you can locate your city, so you would select "denver" on the right hand side or "colorado" then select your nearest city and once you get to the main screen you can go to the top right corner of the page and look under a category of jobs that interestes you and simply reply to the posting with your resume. Its pretty neat. then you have it saved in your email (the resumes you have submitted) so you can follow up when ever you need to! Good luck i feel your pain in this great search! Happy New Year!

Hi R.,

Here is a popular website that has got some openings for positions. I work at the UCDHSC for a research department for diabetes prevention and healthy heart projects. One position is a director's assistant/program specialist and the second is date entry. I really don't know what your are expecting as far as part time but the data enty position is full time but they will be bringing in a temp from a temp service for about 6 months. Check it out, it might be for you!!

the website is http://aianp.uchsc.edu/job_openings.htm

Hope this helps

You say you like research, law and politics. My first thought was a law office. I don't know how they'd be about part time.

Have you thought about contacting your doctor's offices? Often they have temporary part time positions. I don't know of any that have started as temporary that have not become permanent. Even if they can't give you something permanent, doctors talk and often will help you get a job with a friend. A nice side benefit is free health care at the office. (Might want to start with your family doctor.) :) GL
