Looking for a Good Pediatrician... - Westland, MI

Like the person before me, I drive my kids to Canton to IHA, aka Pediatric Associates, and love it. They are great about getting you in when you need. I was able to schedule a well visit on Good Friday with a 1 week notice!! They have Saturday hours for sick kids. They have an after hours clinic in Ann Arbor for those times that you just can't wait until tomorrow. They have never belittled me for refusing immunizations - they have only encouraged us to do it and answered any questions or concerns. The office is in a fairly affluent area in Canton and maintain the necessary high standards. I have been to other pediatricians offices that just do not give me a sanitary feeling. This office is bright, lively, they are OH SO clean.

Dr. Zeskind (see suggestion below) checked was assigned to my twins after their birth. I found her very kind, intelligent and an excellent communicator.

I live in Northville but I drive to IHA in Canton (Cherry Hill area). We've seen nearly every ped in the practice and love all of them!

Dr. Hirsch is near the mall in Novi. We're in westland and it's about a twenty minute drive, but she's a great pediatrician. She's in with My Kid's Doc on 12 mile. Affiliated with DMC. My older daughter and I use the appointments as an excuse to check out the Twelve Oaks mall and BabiesRus.

Our whole family goes to Western Wayne Physicians, Dr Susan Stevens and Dr Tamara Schmidt. They both have children and I appreciate their laid back style. Don't get me wrong, they are concerned when need be, but take an old mother's approach to most new mom situations. My boys, 4 & 1, love them! Also, by the whole family going there, some situations are easier to diagnose and they help us with lifestyle changes our family needs. They are great with same day appointments and rarely do I have to wait more than a week when I make well-baby and physical appointments for the boys.

I actually just switched to Orchard Pediatrics (Dr. Nadis) today, and I LOVE her! I was nervous about switching and today we went for my sons 9 month well visit and she was wonderful. Their whole practice is supposed to be great, I was actually recommended to go to them from another mom on this site. They are located on Orchard Lake Rd. in West Bloomfield which may be a bit far depending on where you live. If you "google" Orchard Pediatrics you will find the number. Hope this helps!
