Did you celebrate your 10 year anniversary? And if so, what was it like and what did you do? Planning mine for 2013, we've hit rock bottom. Tin and aluminum are a great way of expressing a marriage, they can be bent but never broken. We're very in love with eachother again and it will be a surprise for him that i will be organinzing this.

What can I do next?

Most fun I've ever had. We went to all 4 parks , the Mickey's christmas party ( I am HUGE on Christmas) and took one day to go to Universal and go to Wizarding world of Harry Potter.

For our 10th, my husband took me to Europe for 2 weeks. We went to England, Paris, and Germany. It was wonderful. For our 20th, He flew me back to Europe. On our 21st, he flew me in a private plane (he's a pilot) to Santa Fe as a surprise. He had made all the arrangements, to include a 5 star Spa/Resort and dinner. We only stayed overnight, but it was so romantic. This year we went back to Europe. LOL Honestly, we don't travel abroad that often, but we very much love it there. We lived there for a few years around the 15 year mark of our marriage.
I think it is wonderful to celebrate anniversaries, but I don't think you have to be extravagant if you can't afford it. Even a night in a local B&B or an evening picnic in the summer would be wonderful. You can order the food from a nice restaurant, add a bottle of wine and some candles (get a sturdy candelabra that won't tip over on the grass), with some romantic music on the ipod, and you have a wonderful evening planned! Enjoy your planning!
ETA: I just saw that you live in Miami. You can do an evening picnic any time of the year!!

I saved my lunch money and worked a small part time job. I saved enough to buy a 7 day cruise for my wife and I. We went on the Windjammer Cruise line and sailed on the Polynesia. We salied out of St Maarten. We had a wonderful time.

Cruises are much cheaper now. You can buy a 5 day cruise, because you live in Maimi, for about $200 each. Search the internet. I'm always amazed at how cheap cruises are for those living in Maimi. Several times couples have told me the cruise lines gave them cruises for $50 just to fill the ships in hopes the passengers would gamble and use the bar.

Good luck to you and yours.

Our anniversary is New Years Eve so we usually go somewhere for a great dinner a week or two before the actual date and the spend NYE at home or with friends.

yep! went out to a nice dinner, then to the adult store for a very embarrassing yet hysterically funny shopping trip, then back to our hotel room and product tested our purchases.

Yes we did. We actually just wanted someone to watch our kids, and to go to a hotel with a hot tub and relax all night. Unfortunately, the beds there were awful, and we ended up going home at 4am to get into our own comfortable bed. At least the kids were at grandmas!!

We planned on renewing our vows on the beach in Hawaii, but I was 8 months pregnant by the time it came around so we had my MIL watch our oldest and had dinner at my cousin's 5 star restaurant and spent the night at a hotel. I bought this sexy/adorable outfit and will never forget how much my husband laughed when I came out of the bathroom b/c of how prego it made me look! Good thing I wasn't as emotional w/#2 as I was w/baby #1!

We celebrated ours a little early and had my parents come down and stay with the kids to get them to school and such. We went to the mountains and picked apples, rode horses, hiking, etc. Much fun. Especially sans kiddos.

We celebrate 15 this year, and haven't really made any big plans yet. But, hubby tends to be more the type to recognize such things, so who knows? He might be planning something I don't know about...

We took our first cruise, while the grandparents watched our little girl.

Of course, that was 8 1/2 years ago. For our 20th, we're taking the kids to Disney World, where we spent our honeymoon! Yay!

Congrats on your 10th! So happy for you!

Our 10th was 4 years ago. We left our daughters (3 and 4 at the time) with grandma and went to Punta Cana in the Dominican for 5 nights. It was fantastic to get away and have someone wait on me for a change....but I missed them terribly!

Oh wait I was married before for 18 years, still no. :( Can't imagine why that marriage failed.
